Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Fellowes Booklift Copyholder,Platinum (21100)Customer Review: bookholder Summary: 4 Stars
This bookholder is very nice. There are only 2 drawbacks but they are not terrible. The first is that it's supposed to hold thick books, like textbooks etc., but it really doesn't. A hardback best seller is about as much as it can hold. The other is that the tabs that hold the book open seem to me a weak point. They haven't broken but if they do, then the book holder becomes useless. So far it's worked fine and I like the adjustable back and the fact that the whole thing folds flat when not in use.
Customer Review: Flimsy. Summary: 1 Stars
Oddly enough i found this product on amazon while searching for something to replace it. I suppose i should warn people.
This at best holds thin books. Anything that has any recoil (books that close themselves), and its uselss. im not talking spring loaded, just plain paper back books.
The good:
Adjustable, collapsable.
The bad:
rarely holds pages secure.
easy to break.
definitely not worth 11$. think i got mine for 5 at office depot.
Customer Review: Not For Text Books Summary: 2 Stars
This stand may be good for pamphlets, ring-bound manuals, magazines and typing sheets but definitely not for text books. It is unstable and the page holders can't hold any page open for even a nano second. Try the The Easi-Reader Bookstand or Mighty Bright Folding/Adjustable Book Holder instead.
Customer Review: Great for Textbooks Summary: 5 Stars
I like to take notes while I read through my books, and I was getting frustrated going back and forth between the book and notes, holding pages back, etc. This stand holds up all my text books. It holds the pages back well and there are plenty of angles you can adjust it to. If you're thinking about buying this, just know that the part the books sit on is only about an 1.5" thick, so if your book is around 3" deep, you'll have trouble holding the pages back on this stand.
Customer Review: The best thing ever for school! Summary: 5 Stars
I have neck and back problems and it only gets worse when I am studying and looking down at the books and writing. This bookholder is so awesome, I bought two. If they ever break, I will buy more. Totally worth the price and my friends at school call them a blessing too. It keeps me from leaning over to read all of the pages in my book and takes away some of the stress of trying to read all the small print in my textbooks while hunched over. It's awesome!
