Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Fellowes Booklift Copyholder,Platinum (21100)

Customer Review: Simply Perfect
Summary: 5 Stars

I consider myself fortunate to have found this as when I was searching, I did not know that it would be a "copyholder" and not a "bookholder".

This is well-designed. It has several different angle adjustments. It is quite robust. It folds down quickly to be quite flat. Especially appreciated is that the use of the fingers which can hold the pages at the bottom is optional; they can remain folded down. This allows ease in turning pages.

I use it every day to allow reading while I have lunch and I am sure that I am the envy of the other lunch readers as they struggle with reading their books in their hands or flat on the table.

Customer Review: Perfect for the student
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a college student, and I needed a book stand that I could use on my desk in my room, but I also needed to be able to cary it in my backpack to use in the coffee shop or library. I ordered this item, and it is perfect. I use it for all of my books in my room. The heaviness of the book doesn't seem to be a problem--my Biology textbook weighs about 7 pounds and its over 1300 pages long, and the stand handles it just fine. When I need to use it somewhere else, it fits perfectly into my binder, ensuring that it will not be damaged in my bag. For any student who must read a lot, I could not suggest this book holder more. It is perfect for me.

Customer Review: Good Value for the Money
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an all-plastic book holder (like the 21140). The plastic is thick enough to do the job and does not feel flimsy.

The tab system in back works fine, but I think that if it were taken apart carelessly or maybe even with repeated careful disassemblies, that would be the first part to fail.

Based on my inspection/use of the item, I believe that the individuals who experienced immediate failure probably had been sent defective items.

I, too, wish that a reasonably-priced metal book holder was available, but until it is, this product provides good value for the money.

Customer Review: No more neck strain, a little flimsy
Summary: 4 Stars

I agree with some other reviewers, in that it may be flimsy. The rubber stops which prevent it from sliding have fallen off, and the page holders are worthless.

However, this stand holds my 1500+ page hardcover constitutional law book very well, and I can highlight the book while it is on the stand without it collapsing. It does what it is supposed to, and I do not miss the page holders at all. The main reason I bought this is for neck strain. My books are elevated now, I don't have to bend over to read. It does what it is supposed to, and relives strain a lot cheaper than massage or acupuncture.

Customer Review: Perfect, portable studying.
Summary: 5 Stars

So this was bought for me as a gift and I am very happy.

The unit is entirely made of plastic, but rigid for larger books. The stand in the back has multiple adjustment positions for varying the angle it supports a book at. The nicest feature, is the design that allows this to fold flat, such that it reduces to less than a 1/2" thick (at the most protuding parts) and has precut holes to clip into a three-ring binder for travel or storage. I can take it with me wherever I go and have a hands free way to read while I'm on the computer - helps to avoid a sore neck after prolonged study sessions.
