The stand is great, but not quite what I expected. There's a piece of plastic that sticks up to prevent the laptop from falling, as well as prevents me from getting to my CD/DVD drive. But it's something I can deal with.

I just needed a simple riser for my laptop so I could use it on my coffee table in front of the fireplace. This is exactly that. However, I would only use it at the lowest level. Any higher and it seems very flimsy to me. My laptop supposedly is not too heavy for it. I have a Dell Inspiron 1150.Customer Review: Pretty nice, could be a little better

It is simple, lightweight, attractive and easy to use. It would be ideal for those who spend their life on the road in particular. I do wish you could slide the monitor forward on the base and I wish it were more conducive to added cooling.
