This shredder sure gobbles up the paper. So far the only issue I have with it is the noise. My little PS60C-2 is super quiet compared to this one, but, I guess it's worth the trade off when I can shred twice the amount of paper than before. Another great feature is the large pull out bin. With my other shredder, I had to take the shredder off the top of the bin, and sometimes the shreddings from the cutter would fall out all over the floor. With the SB-99Ci, I can just pull the bin out from underneath and have no worries about making a mess.Customer Review: Effective, effortless and safe

The prior home office shredders had short life spans---too many jams, too little capacity, etc. I felt a larger, stronger shredder would be the answer---and so bought this one. It arrived fully assembled, except for the rollers (I needed help to install the castors). So far: perfect. Quiet. Safe--authomatic sensor shuts the machine off should fingers and paws get too close to the slot. Takes multiple sheets in larger quantities. Window allows me to see when basket is full. This is a new model for 2008 and I am very pleased with it!Customer Review: Poor Design . . . Avoid It!

I ordered this shredder through Amazon and had a problem from the start. The shredder bin has a tab that must trip a safety sensor when inserted.
When I first got this shredder, the tab was broken. To their credit, Fellowes shipped me a new bin when I filed a case (but they closed the case before I got it).
Now the new bin tab is still not long enough to trip the sensor so one can use the shredder.
This is my third Fellowes shredder . . . and my last. Poor, poor design. Avoid it.

This thing is GREAT. All shredders exaggerate the number of sheets that can be shredded. This one does do about 15 sheets of normal copy paper without issue but no more consistently. It is very quiet and does have a long run time. It is good that it has a large waste area as it powers through lots of sheets quickly. I was cleaning out files and ran through 3 full waste baskets and it never overheated or even slowed down.
Note dimensions, this thing is large.
I am very pleased with it and highly recommend.

I purchased a Fellows SB-99Ci shredder because I had alot of old documents from recently passed on loved ones and some of my own. Just to clear out the clutter. I've had cheap shredders before that didn't shred for anything, so I went ahead and got the Fellows. It's performance exceeded my expectations by far. The unit worked flawlessly and I was able to get the job done quickly. It will be a welcome addition to my home office. I would recommend a Fellows shredder, maybe one not so large, but none the less, it worked fine for me.
