Customer Review: Does what I need it to do

At this price point, this unit seemed to have the most features and best reviews. I bought one this big primarily so that I didn't have to open junk mail, then shred it all piecemeal. With this unit, I can take unopened junk mail envelopes and feed the whole thing in at once. It's choked a few times on the big fat ones, but overall, very satisfied. The owner's manual shows 20 minutes of constant operation will trigger a 40 minute cool-down period, but I haven't had that happen. Duty cycle is 50-100 feedings a day, but I've shredded piles of old bills and office papers on and off for a whole day with no problems.Customer Review: I didn't beleive it...

Having used shredders for years, I am very adept at jamming them. I didn't believe that this shredder would not jam, but it is true. You have to work hard to trick the sensor to cause it indigestion. Even then, it will usually clear it automatically. The Safesense safety feature is awesome and the design is high tech.
It is more expensive than a lot of shredders out there but if quality and safety are important to you, it is worth it.
Only negative so far is the wheels are difficult to put on. I ended up leaving them off since I don't intend to move it around.

I've used small, weaker paper shredders but faced with a mountain (90 file boxes packed full) of files that had to be shredded, I knew I'd need a better, more powerful shredder than I've ever used. After looking on the internet and reading the comments of many folks, I decided to buy this model. I am very impressed with this agressive shredder. It gobbled up everything that the owners manual said that it would do in quick order. I haven't finished the entire job yet, but at this point, I highly recommend the Fellowes SB-3229901 Intellishred 99Ci shredder. It's one mean machine.Customer Review: Hefty 30 Gallon bags fit

My PS55CC lasted me 10 years so I knew I would be buying another Fellowes after it died. I replaced it with a PS-79Ci but after 5000 pages over 1 weekend I decided I needed something larger. So far I've been very happy with this one. I wanted to point out that Hefty 30 Gallon Twist Tie Blue Large (2' 5.75" x 3') trash bags ($4.59 for 24 at a midwest home center where you save big money) fit this shredder. I think for this size of shredder you need to use a bag. The bin is large and unwieldy and it is rather difficult to invert and empty it into a garbage bag.Customer Review: SB-99Ci Works as Adverstised

I was a little hesitant because a few reviewers said this shredder would not shred 17 sheets and was too noisy. Both were wrong, so I assume that they fixed these problems (as well as the interlock pin, and the ease of installing the wheels).
The machine works fine. It hasn't overheated with continuous use. It detects when it is overloaded and stops and backs up and tries again, usually sucessfully, on the first retry.
I have only had it a few weeks, but if it continues to work as it has so far, then I will be completely satisfied.
