I guess some people don't want to put in a little effort. I have used the Fellowes cd dvd repair kit for a few years and I like it. I've never had it make any of my dvd unplayable or erased them, as I read in a review. No, it can't save every situation but it's saved me many, many more times than not. I cut the repair sheets into small disc and use it in a rotary disc cleaner. And the scratches are removed in a short time. I let the repair dry and then buff the haze off. As a matter of fact I just finished a few minutes ago doing just this. Another disc repaired and I'm writing to help offset some of these negative reviews that I've read here. I'm actually looking to get more of this product because I'm almost out. If you need to repaid your cd's or dvd's, I recommend the Fellowes cd dvd repair kit. Yes, you'll have to put in a little effort and be patient.
