My enamel on steel kettle was getting pitted from hard water and I wanted a SS one. This is a nice little kettle, but has one limitation-the handle does not pivot out of the way, so putting water into it is a little problem. Not insurmountable, but an everyday annoyance. Other than that, it is a nice kettle, has a nice shape, and well made. You could spend a lot more, but why?
