Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Westcott 750 Photo Basics 7.0-Foot Light Stand

Customer Review: Does not come complete
Summary: 2 Stars

I ordered this and ended up returning it the same day. I was interested in the sun reflectors and bought the tripod as a package. It does not come with the neccesary attachment for the reflectors I bought. Your under the impression the deal was "complete", yet it is not. I was terribly disappointed. The piece they recommend will not work either.

Customer Review: Nice stand for the $$$
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a very nice stand for the $$$. I purchased it for remote strobe use which it does very well. If you use it for a box or large flat reflector, you will need sand bags but that is standard for even the +most expensive stands out there. It looks like it is made well enough that it will stand up to the use of pros.

Customer Review: Sturdy, Light Stand for Cheap
Summary: 5 Stars

I am impressed by this sturdy little sucker. It hold my strobe and umbrella very easily. I love the air cushion that it has. It doesn't pinch or slam down when you lower it, and pops up when you unscrew it to move it up. The only thing that was difficult was opening the feet for the first time. Works great so far.

Customer Review: good buy
Summary: 5 Stars

for about $30.00 this stand is great for single portraits. holds my umbrella and flash in good balance. only draw back is when extended at its fullest and burdened with an umbrella and strobe it does get a little shaky. I would recommend keeping it at about 6feet and there would be no problem at all with this product.

Customer Review: Good stand for the price
Summary: 5 Stars

It's my first light stand. Although we use more expensive stands at work, this one meets my budget. Usual use is indoor/studio lighting but sometimes light outside shoot. Sturdy enough to hold my 43" umbrella and an SB-800. I haven't tried using bigger strobes though. For it's price, it is meeting my needs.
