Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Energizer ERP512GRN NiMH Cordless Phone BatteryCustomer Review: This can be a tough call! Summary: 3 Stars
A little pun to start out but some advice on this battery.First only buy from amazon and link it up with somethimg else to get free shipping.I looked at a couple of stores and Amazon is the cheapest from a major retailer. Also if you have a phone with an extra base or 2 be aware you could find a recording machine with an extra base at a warehouse club for about twice the cost of 2 batteries. So if you phone is 5 years old and the batteries are dying you are better off getting the next genaration of phones with an warranty then extending the life of an old phone.Buying one or 2 replacement batteries for an old system with recording machine is really the only situation in which it makes sense to buy replacement batteries. If you are buying 3 or 4 batteries it is better to get new phones.I have posted a picture of the back of the battery pack but this will fit any uniden phone that uses the BT-446 model of battery.
Customer Review: Very long talk time! Summary: 5 Stars
After 8 years of using the OEM battery that came with the phone, we started having to recharge the phone multiple times during the day, or having to recharge and switch to another phone during a phone call. From my experience with buying batteries (for cellphone, camera,...etc), I knew I wanted to get a decent one (didn't want to get one of those batteries you find online, where you almost pay for shipping only - I tried that before). This Energizer battery is excellent. It may be that I forgot how long the OEM battery talk time was when I first bought the phone, but I'm certainly impressed with the talk time of this Energizer replacement. I remember talking for over an hour, with the battery still showing "full". I can't comment on the battery life, in terms of how long it will continue to deliver like this, but I'll be happy if it lasts for a couple of years, after which I'll buy another one!
Customer Review: Works perfectly Summary: 5 Stars
My older cordless phones were to a point where they would only hold a sufficient charge for ten minutes of use. I'd pretty much decided to buy a new phone system, when I noticed that replacement batteries were available. About a month ago, I bought two of these batteries for use in my two cordless phones. I followed the instructions and charged them for 24 hours before use; first one phone, then the other, saving the old batteries in case a new battery was DOA.
There are cheaper Korean-made batteries available, but, after reading many reviews, I decided buying the more expensive "Energizer" ones seemed a far-better bet. The cheaper batteries got a lot of negative reviews as regarding initial power, and battery life durability.
In summary, I've been very pleased with the new life of my cordless phones, and, recommend these batteries highly.
Customer Review: Great battery Summary: 5 Stars
When our cordless phones began to lose their ability to charge I began looking for replacement batteries. I started with the cordless phone manufacturer and the exact same batteries that were in the phone were priced at $24 each plus shipping. Replacing all four batteries would be almost as expensive as buying a complete new phone system. I then looked at Amazon and found a variety of replacement batteries. I chose the Energizer ER-P512 because it was a fair price and sold directly by Amazon. There were other batteries available for as low as $2.95 but after reading the reviews I was afraid that they were too cheap to last very long and they were not sold directly by Amazon. When the batteries arrived I plugged them into the phones and everything now works great. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Customer Review: Just seeing a brand name makes me more comfortable Summary: 4 Stars
So far the Energizers seem to be better in our 4 cordless phones than the previous plain-wrapped knockoff batteries.
I am not comfortable with the no-name batteries. They never seem to last more than two years; I think that's sub-par.
I fervently hope the Energizers perform better and longer. So far they take a charge well and hold a charge several days longer than the no-names.
With the no-name batteries we were getting a lot of crackling in the phone near the end of each charge cycle. I wasn't able to isolate the problem and blame the batteries specifically, but Voila! The crackling is gone when using the Energizers.
Only time will tell, but I'm hopeful these are the best Uniden Cordless phone replacement batteries.
