I initally purchased this light for myself; however, I use it on the dog more. It is great to put it in red mode when I go out with the dog at night. You can see everywhere he is roaming. I just put it around his neck like a collar and point it downward. It doesn't bother him at all and lets me know where he is at all times. Geez, it gets dark before 6pm now-a-days. It's the only sure way to keep up with him. I have yet to change the batteries and have had it almost 1 year. I use it for about 30 minutes a day.Customer Review: Not worth it

Bought two of these at a local home supply store but returned them after trying them out at home. I found the light to be pitifully weak, certainly nowhere near the advertised 36 lumens. I returned them and purchased a pair of Princeton Tec Fuel head lamps, which were more expensive (about $7 more apiece) but function much better and feel better built.
There are lots of other good reviews for these lamps, so maybe others have had better luck than I did, but I would not recommend.

I have two of these. One for me and one for my husband. We use them for mucking out and taking care of our horse in the dark. I have no night vision and these help a lot. It still is not as good as getting there before sunset, but it is the best that we can do. With the days getting shorter, this is really helpful. I like the settings it has an the way it can point in the direction you want by rotating it on its pivot.Customer Review: Headlight with 6 Leds

Added this on to an order to make it high enough for free shipping -- can always use an extra head lamp, they are the greatest. This one has a neat red light feature for preserving night vision, so if you are reading something while hiking at night, you don't blind yourself with the light. The tilt feature is a little different from other headlamps, and took some getting used to.Customer Review: Good for the price!

I bought the new 6-LED headlight at Wal-Mart for less that $15 - and it's well worth it. I like the multiple white LED options for floodlight vs. spotlight vs. both, as well as the red LEDs. I also own the 3-LED version of Engergizer's headlight as well, but the new 6-LED version is a little more water resistant. Works great so far, and at $15, you really can't go wrong!
