Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Energizer NH15BP-4 Rechargeable AA Battery 4 Pack

Customer Review: Long lasting in my new digital camera
Summary: 5 Stars

I ordered these batteries for use with my new digital camera (ordered at the same time). The batteries have performed great. I installed them in the camera around the second week of January. They just went dead yesterday, January 28. I did a ton of experimenting (including using the flash) when I first got the camera; spent several hours on two separate Saturdays taking pictures for a project; did a considerable amount of other miscellaneous photography since that time (both outdoors, and indoors with flash); all of that was with the screen on constantly; and I have performed quite a few downloads of photos to my computer. The batteries just went dead yesterday. The only thing I have done to conserve battery life is that I always turn the camera off when taking breaks from picture-taking, or moving from one location to another (as in my project, taking pictures around the city where I live). I am very satisfied with their function and how long they last.

I have 16 of these batteries (AA) and 4 (AAA) and they work like a charm! I use min in my GPS devices, and even took them on vacation last summer. I used 4 batteries and took over 300 digital pictures using my Olympus camera. That was zooming in and out, camera on and off and using a flash on all the photo's taken inside the submarine. Without a doubt, the best rechargeables you can buy. And cheap too. You can get an 8 pack of 2500mah at wal mart for $16 (AA). Amazon is getting to where finding a price on something takes an act of congress, you can find 9v and "C: cells at Buy.com for very little money. Just don't ever use rechargeable batteries in fire alarms or smoke detectors. Or in Pioneer Reciever remotes. Smoke my remote. And to the person who said they are fatter than standard batteries is wrong. I use these in my mini mag lights all the time! I have 2 AAA 1 AA light, as wel as 2 C cell lights.

Customer Review: Energizer Rechargeable Batteries

I've been doing some comparison testing with rechargeable batt. over the past few years and can say the name brands like Duracell, Engergizer are worse than off name brands like Chicago Electric sold at Harbor Freight. I have used slow chargers that take about 15-24 hrs. to charge 4-AA batt. depending on batt. and the Chicago Electric last longer without loosing charge. They can sit for weeks without going dead but a Duracell or Energizer will be dead in 1-2 wks.without use. Some will be completely dead in 1 wk. I also have had some name brands stop charging in a short period of time causing charger to flash showing defective batt. but have not had any Chicago Elec. do this yet. I have a 15 min. Engergizer emergency charger and a slow charger. Obviously the slow charger works best. Looking at the prices on here the Chicago Elec. cost more but they last longer so you get what you pay for in this case.

Customer Review: WASTE of money, buy Eneloop instead

I have bought 2-3 packs of these batteries, all disappointments. You'd think such a simple thing was basically failsafe, right? Nope. I thought I had just gotten a bad batch the first time. Nope again. The only way I can use these batteries is if I charge them right before I need them. I can't even tell you how many times I went to go play Wii and then realized ALL of these batteries were dead. Even worse was I had charged them fully no more than 2 days prior. Total garbage in my opinion, my brother even had some which all do the same thing as well. So, unless you are extremely organized and plan out when you want to play video games, use TV remotes, etc... spend your money on anything but these. I had a pair of Fuji rechargables that came with my first digital camera 10 years ago that hold a charge WAY longer than these shiny little turds. The Energizer bunny has sh** itself and died.

Customer Review: Very short lifespan, do not buy!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought the AA Energizer rechargeables for use in a XBOX 360 controler. I bought a 4 pack, and would cycle them in and out after one set drained. For the first month or so they were great. They lasted much longer than alkaline batteries. But as the months went by, the drain cycle got shorter and shorter. Now, I'm at the point where a fully charged set of AAs, will drain themselves completely empty sitting on the shelf, in less than 1 day. They will not hold a charge. While being used, they won't last more than 2 hours now....compared to 20+ hours when new. From my experince, these batteries cost WAY too much to have such a short lifespan. I will not buy more. I'll try another brand. And the other comment made about the size is correct. These are HUGE AAs. They will get stuck in tight components. Forget about even trying them in something like a flashlight or an expensive camera.
