This fluorescent lantern model FL452WRBP is very similar to another Energizer fluorescent lantern model called the FL450BP. See Energizer(R) Folding Fluorescent Lantern.
I own both models.
This one has a red plastic housing with a mirror reflector whereas the other one has a green plastic housing with a white reflector.
Both use four D cell batteries. The lanterns don't burn much energy so they last considerably longer than incandescent flashlights. But fluorescent lanterns are not super bright. They are, however, bright enough to see in the dark. You can't perform surgery with them, but you can take a bath with their illumination.
I've used them during blackouts. They work. They are good for emergencies or camping.
Consider the big price difference:
The green Energizer fluorescent lantern model FL450BP Energizer(R) Folding Fluorescent Lantern. is only half the price of this fluorescent lantern model FL452WRBP Energizer FL452WRBP Folding Lantern.
Therefore get the green model unless you prefer the color red.
