Retractable Ipod USB 2.0 Sync
This Ipod USB Cable works perfect in my 2G nano. It also works fine with the Ipod touch. I like the retractable mechanism because I can carry it in my pocket with no problem. It can be ajusted as you want it, when it's close to my laptop there's not this long cable around, I just fit it. I also use it with my AC-charger. If the outlet is too low or too high, the retractable USB Cable may be too short to put you ipod on your desk. It's about 2 feet long.

I use it to sync my music from my computer to my 30gb iPod video 5.5 generation and it works flawlessly. It's fast and easy to use. The retractable feature is nice, but i don't really use it, i keep it stretched all the time by fixating it to my dock. But if you need a cable for cheap because yours broke or you simply don't have one, this is perfect.

Just as an update, cable still works perfectly. Granted, I haven't stretched it out and retracted it more than 10 times over the past year, it still works just like it did when I got it.

I have to admit, I was a little worried to order anything other then the original iPod/iPhone cable for my iPhone and collection of iPods, but after seeing the price of an official apple usb cable (What a rip off that thing is!) I went for this cable instead.
I am upgrading the OS on my iPhone as I am writing this review. Cable works great!!
The only downside of it is it's short length. I wish it were a little longer. It may be the same length as the cable provided with ipods, but I have thrown mine away and can't compare the lengths.

I had the usual Apple-phile skepticism with buying an off-brand, but I've had no problems after using it several times. My only quibble is that it doesn't have that satisfying "click" into place on the iPod side. But the connection has never faltered, and the connection is pretty immediate. I can't speak to whether the retraction mechanism will last, since I don't actually need to extend or retract it.Customer Review: Works for charging, I wouldn't try to sync with it.

This definitely works for charging your iPod Touch or iPhone, but I wouldn't suggest trying to sync data with it. The construction is not the best, and the plug going in to the iDevice is not a perfect fit. With a thick case on your device, the plug will probably not fit at all. Also, although the cord is retractible, it's very short - even shorter than the stock sync/charge cable.
