Customer Review: Flimsy or defective unit

I purchased this prior to a one month stint in Kenya where the three-prong rectangular plug is needed. From the beginning it made poor electrical contact within the outlet. After less than two days of poorly working, or not working at all, one of the two rectangular plugs simply fell out. The prong threads onto a screw inside the case, but there was no way to reattach it without cracking open the case since you can't twist the prong in the fitted rectangular slot in the case. This product is great on the aspect of what it should do. It looks quite big in the picture, but actually it is not that big.
It works not only on american or European countries, but also Asian adapters like S.Korea and Japan. As far as I know, the power
is distributed safely and corresspondencly. The only thing I'm concerned is that, the US output adapter is so a tiny bit small to the Eastern U.S house adapters. It doesn't have a really big impact, but the adapter would fall off from the wall if some small touch is taken.

Just got back from Ireland, took two of these adapters (2nd in case 1st didn't work)as they are such a good deal, wanted to make sure one would work. Both worked great, they have a red light that indicated when the power is working properly, which is great, because if you push them too far into the plug, the contact is lost, so just adjust until the red light comes on. I never had any problems with them falling out of the wall like some earlier comments suggested, so maybe the wall plugs were defective and not this adapter.Customer Review: DOA - Too bad I had to find out on vacation

I purchased this adapter based on the positive recommendations by other users who had travelled to the UK. I'm writing this review from the UK on my laptop powered by a friend's converter as the one I purchased was dead on arrival. How can a passive power-through device not work? I plugged it into the same outlet as my friend's adapter and nothing. Tried it in multiple outlets in two rooms. Nothing. Fits the wall outlet just fine, but no power is flowing. Wish I had saved my $4 and bought one here instead.

I bought and used this product for my trips in Switzerland, Italy and France. The product worked just fine. It's a good value for the price. The only problem I had was that it didn't fit to well to the outlet and would come out easily even if you brushed against it. It just might be my product though because one of my friends also had this product and she said she experience no problem with hers. Just be aware that the plug might fall out easily so keep on eye on it if you're charging something like a camera battery.
