Customer Review: A+ Concept, C+ Delivery on the Concept

I bought two of these for my first ever trip to the UK. I used them in both my hotel room and in my business office and the results are mixed; that is it's hard to determine exactly where the "problems" occurred but these were the results: a) the plugs fit very loosely in the socket and had to be wiggled around to make the red power light come on & stay on, b) the item being powered had to have the plug wiggled around to make it connect right, c) in my work office it actually caused a 'pop' when plugged into a power strip and caused the whole strip to go out.
That said, it did work, and there were other team members who also had similar problems with their power converters. This leads me confused as to whether the problems resided in the 'host' power outlets or in all the converters (although the odds seem low on this).
On the plus side there are locking slides that keep the selected options locked in. This is an amazing device that I really wished would have worked as expected. I couldn't have survived without these but it sure felt like a 'kludgied' solution.

This adapter has all the features needed for travel virtually anywhere (without doing any voltage conversion). Even though it has an attractive price and claimed to do what I wanted - I still ordered it with some apprehension because of reports that in some cases it fails to fit snugly in a foreign socket - thus defeating any practical use. For me, these reports proved unfounded. Why? - apparently these users failed to read the instructions!! Despite being very simply to operate - the 'locking' mechanism actually serves two purposes which may not be superficially obvious. I'm sure no one had any problem releasing the lock to get at the UK prongs (for example) - BUT after you release the prongs you MUST reset the lock!!! Otherwise, the spring loading mechanism will prevent the adapter from staying securely in an electrical outlet. The step is discussed in the one page instruction sheet - but I'm certain many/most never take the time to read it over. In my opinion there should be no worries about purchasing this item - it's a must-have for going over seas. I'll be getting more!Customer Review: Works but needs a little help

The product works, but it needs a little help because the prongs are thinner than all the outlets into which we connected it (and there were a lot since we traveled to a lot of countries), including in the US so it tends to fall out. You have to hold it or sometimes just put it a certain way so even though it doesn't stay put it doesn't fall off completely and still gets the current. However, this is very uncomfortable when connecting a heavy item like the camera charger because most of the time the weight of the charger pulled it off the outlet, or when using a hair dryer it would turn off every ten seconds if I moved slightly and the adapter fell of the outlet. The only thing I liked was that it has a light that turns red to let you know when it's working so at least this way you know if the current is going through or not and you'll be able to adjust your position. So if you have other options I would suggest trying them, if this is your only option specially because of the price just know that you'll have to find ways to keep it in the electrical outlet.Customer Review: Awesome travel adapter for the price

I tend to lose/forget a number of adapters while abroad, so I've got experience with these. This particular travel adapter, however, is one of my favorites. It'll support US/European/UK plugs - so you can use your US devices, along with others while abroad - making it a hit in hostels or anywhere where you have international guests who need to share power outlets.
The green "lock/unlock" switch at the top is a nice touch, if anything - it shoots the plugs out with a good amount of force. Plus, locking the plugs outward is a great idea. I've had some more expensive adapters that don't lock, so pushing them into the wall causes them to recess back into the adapter, sort of defeating the purpose of having it work correctly.
At this price, you should buy two in case you lose or forget one. I've been carrying two for a while, and always end up donating one to a fellow traveler who lost/forgot theirs for a beer or two. At this price, any traveler (even if you leave the country once a year) can't afford to be without one.
Customer Review: Sometimes It Works, Sometimes It Doesn't

I bought three of these converters for my travel to Singapore and Bali. The hotel I stayed at in Singapore had these outlets where I was not able to plug the adapter in all the way. It didn't work at all. Luckily, the hotel room has a 110 AC outlet so I ended up not needing to use them. While at Singapore, I attended school so I also tried to use them in the various rooms there. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. In one room, I had to wiggle the adapter around to get the red indicator light to come on (showing that it is working). If I even slightly move the cord that is plugged into the adapter, the light will turn off. Since I bought three, I didn't know if one of them is bad or they are simply flaky to begin with. I traveled to Bali afterward and I used one at the hotel there. It worked but once again, the connection is very loose and can get knocked off easily.
