Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of HDMI M / M Cable, 50 FT / 15 MCustomer Review: ONLY USE IF BUYING A BOOSTER Summary: 1 Stars
This cable did not carry HD signal from a PC to an HD TV (tested on 2 different TVS)
The resolution was dropped to 800x600 and was still snowy and choppy.
This cable did carried a choppy video and sound from a Directv HD Receiver to an HD TV (tested on 2 different TVS)
The picture was fuzzy/snowy and the signal continually cut in and out.
DO NOT BUY THIS CABLE unless you have some way to strengthen the signal
Customer Review: Works Great!! Summary: 5 Stars
Ran this cable thru my bsmt ceiling and up to my 50" Plasma. The other end is connected to a Dish Network Vip622 HD/DVR receiver. Works perfectly with no pixelation or loss in quality. I ordered another one for my DVD Player.
Update: The second one just came and its a flat cable. Different from the first but works just as well. The flat cable is said to reduce noise interference and they are more expensive to purchase.
Customer Review: Best Deal on a 50ft HDMI Summary: 5 Stars
What more can you ask for? Inexpensive and works great! I paid just over $20 shipped. Tested between my Yamaha receiver HDMI output and my Optoma HD20 projector and the blu-ray quality at 1080p was flawless. With digital signals there is really no risk of video quality loss, the 50ft length will appear the same as a shorter cable. Can't go wrong here, if you need 50ft like I did for the projector, this is the one to buy.
Customer Review: Works barely Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this to connect my new HP Pavilion laptop to my 1080P HDTV. It works, but the picture is full of horizontal lines of noise. I tried another cable (6 ft) and it works perfectly. Obviously you can't trust the claims on this cable that it meets the specs. I am returning it to the vendor, but it appears that I will only get a 'store credit', so I probably wasted $28 (including shipping both ways) on this. Sucks!
Customer Review: Ok, but not really a good thickness for 50 ' Summary: 2 Stars
This cable, kinda, works.
50ft is a pretty long run, and I get intermittent results. It is not a good gauge for a long 50 foot cable. Not much thicker than a cat-5 cable
I think it is 28awg or 30awg
I ented up needed an equalizer to make it work consistently
I think a 50 foot run needs a builtin equalizer or 24awg at the minimum to be sure it will work.
