Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of ETYMOTIC RESEARCH ER20BP High Fidelity Ear Plugs ( Clear )Customer Review: Ear Plugs for musicians and more Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased these to help save my ears. As a drummer, I wanted something that would not destroy the music and shut it out completely. Some sound quality is sacrificed but not enough to matter to me under these circumstances. I also tried them at a recent rock concert,Rob Zombie/Alice Cooper, and enjoyed the show and could hear just fine after the show. If I lose these, I will buy another set.
Customer Review: Thankfully I've wised up... Summary: 5 Stars
Glad I bought these, I've got tinnitus from previous indiscrections (headphones, concerts, clubs) and they are hassle free to use and I don't care if I look like a secret service agent or an alien (get the clear, it's not THAT bad). Your hearing is more important and once it's damaged there is little to do about it. Pretty minimal price for the item as compared to piece of mind.
Customer Review: The best there is ... short of having custom made Summary: 5 Stars
These are the most comfortable, most sound-dampening plugs I've used. I play drums and these do a great job bringing the sound to a comfortable and safe level. I can still hear well enough to play, but protect my ears at the same time. They're small and, therefore, easy to lose. I keep the little carrying case attached to another piece of drum gear so they're always with me.
Customer Review: Etymotic Earplugs Summary: 5 Stars
These are the best earplugs I've ever used. As advertised, they "lower the volume" of sound without distortion, you don't seem to lose anything across the audio spectrum (bass, midrange, treble). I've been totally comfortable in loud rock shows in small clubs, with no ear ringing afterward. This is exactly why I bought them, and they have completely lived up to expectations.
Customer Review: Exactly What I'd Hoped Summary: 5 Stars
Good, quality earplugs that do exactly what you expect them to: Reduce volume, just a little bit. They get rid of that shrill crackling, eardrum tearing sound that loud music makes without making it too quiet to really get into it. They're a little uncomfortable, but in the grand scheme of things, that's the least of my concerns. They work great, and I can't complain.
