I use it for a 23" flat screen and it works fabulously! I was skeptical at first because it seemed too cheap(compared to similar items I priced), but I'm glad I took the plunge! I've had it for over a month (mounted to the side of my desk. Every once in a while I check the knobs to ensure everything is tight (just to be safe)but no problems so far. I needed an arm to ensure the monitor sat in an ergonomic position. It moves in height, rotation and angle. This product exceeds my expectations and the price is phenominal. My only precaution (no fault of the product) check the monitor mount (my 2nd monitor sits on a stand with no mounting area on the back), bummer. There's likely a way around this, but I'm not the 'handy' type. 2 Thumbs Up!Customer Review: A GRAND SLAM HOME RUN!!!

The Ergotron is amazing! It's a must have for anyone sitting at a computer for any length of time. I will never be without one again. Why? Because at the end of the day my shoulders and neck are relaxed and not a mass of knotted up muscles! A minor plus is that one can simple swing the display in to a comfortable position for colleagues to use.
I tried both the clap and the grommet mounts that came with the arm. The clamp worked fine with the additional extension arm. However, I wanted the added weight capacity (i.e.,18 lbs vs 10 lbs) so I used the grommet mount instead. The really nice touch was that the arm included all the tools to reconfigure the mount except a Philips #2 (P2) screw driver.

I was looking for a monitor arm for my Acer X223w due to issues I have with my neck and was looking at a number of comparable models. I read a review on how bad a particular manufacturer's model was and how with the money the individual spent, he could have bought an Ergotron. I then Googled Ergotron and found a number of models available through a number of on-line retailers. The unit looked like exactly what I was looking for. When I received it a was impressed with the sturdiness of the parts, the ease with which it assembled, and the mounting options for the arm. I highly recommend this unit to anyone. In fact I'm considering ordering additional units for the rest of my IT department. It's a great productCustomer Review: better than sliced bread!

It's living up to all the praise! It was fairly easy to install (I'm a small female and I was able to install my Samsung 22").
I'm using the end of desk mount-- so it literally involved twisting a knob onto the edge of the desk. Simple, yet very effective. It has a very heavy, solid feel. No jiggling.
After installation, the arm kept going down (like the monitor was too heavy), but after looking at the troubleshooting section-- I just needed to adjust the tension. Warning, this adjustment was not intuitive. I kept trying to tighten at the elbow area, when in fact, the adjustment needs to be done right near the monitor connection.
I absolutely love this stand!

I bought this monitor arm to hold my KDS 22" LCD monitor. Since the specs said it would be able to accomidate up to a 24" LCD, then I figured it would have no problem supporting my 22". Well, it just sags down and will not stay in place due to the stand not being as strong as advertised. Luckily, where the stand sags to is basically where I need the height to be so it is usable, but could only hold up a 19" or smaller properly. If it had stronger springs or whatever they use to support the monitor, I would have given it 5 stars. It is very stylish and well made. I would suggest ordering one that is overkill on specs to make sure that it will actually support the monitor you own.
