Customer Review: A versatile and strong arm up to 16 lbs.

Pros: You are going to love the freedom of movement this gives your monitor. There is considerably less neck strain. Portrait mode is incredible.
Cons: I feel like it should cost only $70, it looks larger in the pictures and online demonstrations than it is. The specifications rate it up to 20 Lbs but I wouldn't dare push it that far, my monitor is 16 Lbs and it works great but I get the feeling that if it weighed any more functionality of movement would drop.
Other than that it is a worthy buy.

This is a well made product with great features. You can adjust the spring tension to keep the display balanced so it stays where you put it.
The clamp that mounts to the end of the desktop is very sturdy and solidly handles my 22" Samsung monitor. I able to move the monitor from touching the desktop to height of 9 inches and can also rotate and tilt the display. It also has a range of more than 26 inches of forward reach. This is one of the better upgrades I have made and I recommend this product.

I bought this arm to desk mount a second 24" monitor for my 24" iMac, and it works very well.
Easy to set up, adjust, and use. Seems to be well-constructed. Everything included to do several types of mounts. The monitor can rotate so I can use it in page view, which comes in handy every now and then.
Having a dual monitor setup is great - I can't imagine going back to a single 24" screen. Having both mounted on articulating arms makes the whole setup even more effective.
Highly recommended.

Any desk top computer I own will always include a Ergotron LX Desk Mount Arm - mounting kit ( 45-179-195 ) for my monitor. This arm allows you to recline back in your chair and bring the monitor to you. No more neck and back aches. Works great if you have a T.V. tuner also. Works great for home and business applications. I highly recommend. Once you try it you will never go back to a stationary monitor stand.Customer Review: Awesome.

This is a must have. It frees space in the desk and also allows you to move your monitor wherever you want, and in whatever orientation you want.
Aside: If your idea is to use this monitor arm to take advantage of the vertical orientation, then be sure to buy an LCD with IPS panel. Definitively do NOT buy an LCD with TN (twisted neumatic) panel as the vertical viewing angle is terrible (and then when you place the monitor in vertical position you have almost none horizontal viewangle).
