This product is great. The amount of additional desk top space made available due to the small mounting base is greatly increased. The instructions took a while to figure out because I had to drill a hole in the top of my desk to mount the arm.(it comes with 2 different ways to mount your flat panel screen.) The alternate installation is a no-brainer,ie: no drilling at all. I highly recommend this product and you will love the way it is adjustable for the weight of the screen and the almost unlimited positions to view it from your chair.Customer Review: splendid ergotron

i could say that i am more than satisfied with this product. it's material and quality are excellent. there is nothing less than it is described on the ergotron site. in fact the package contains "more" than i have expected. it contains all the accesories and tools that ate needed to mount yor monitor on the arm.(2 sizes of vesa mount and 2 types of desk mount[on the side of the desk or through a hole]). some may say that it is expensive but i dont believe that i could find something cheaper but that good.

The stand is very sturdy and comes with everything to mount a LCD flat panel monitor. The instructions were good and the stand is really solid. I used this stand to mount a Samsung 226BW and it looks great with the black adapter plate with all black screws and knobs to attach to the arm. There are two adjustments I had to make because of the weight of this monitor. Once I got it dialed in, it worked like a champ with the looks to boot. You will not be disappointed with this stand. It was really simple to assemble and install (simple clamp) on my desk. Materials are of sturdy/solid and high quality metal. It came with a bagful of misc. hardware and tools for other mount types. It works with my 22" monitor without any tension adjustments. Now I can have infinite positional adjustments to my monitor to suite my view angles and hopefully helps to ease the strain of my neck and eyes! Highly recommended.

I have owned this Ergotron LX Desk Mount Arm - mounting kit ( 45-179-195 ) for a long time now. At least 3 years. I love it. It does almost everything it should do. It holds my 23" monitor in any position I set. It keeps it off my desk and provides more usable desk space. I just wish it had more room for all the wires and cables. Although there is some place for a wire or two. I see about five other wires attached to this monitor that could use some sort of a cable management system built into the monitor arm.
