The idea is sound: a dongle launches itself up into the air, which you have to find and replace in order to get the base station to let you go back to sleep. By the time you've found the dongle, you're probably awake anyway.
This implementation, however, leaves much to be desired. For starters, the alarm is the loudest that I've heard in a long time, and there is no way to adjust the volume. The controls in general aren't all that intuitive or satisfying.
But worst of all, the helicopter bit just isn't durable enough. It is a cheap plastic... the kind that you find with children's toys, with a foam ball. The key which connects the helicopter portion to the base had broken within a week. You can use nearly anything to turn it off, but the flying bit refused to fly any more.
Don't be suckered in by a good idea... much better alarm clocks are availble out there.

This digital alarm clock launches a rotor into the air that flies around the room as the alarm sounds flying up to 9' in the air and will not cease ringing until the rotor is returned to the alarm clock base!
