Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of DLO Leather Folio Case for Zune (Black)Customer Review: Great for the Zune 30gb Summary: 4 Stars
The case is excellent. It fits my Zune 30GB perfectly, was a bit tight to get it in at first, but the leather expands and stretches out perfectly.
The screen and buttons are protected by the clear plastic, and the built-in buttons in the leather for "Back" and "Play/Pause" work perfectly. I was a bit worried about them going in but I haven't had a problem with them.
The headphone opening at the top is very convenient and allows you to listen to your music with the flap closed. The flap contains two tiny magnets to help keep it closed, and if you make a flipping motion, they snap right to the case, keeping your screen even more protected.
The case itself feels and looks nice, the leather is of good quality and covers about 90% of the Zune. I have yet to have to take my Zune out of the case as you can do everything with the Zune inside.
My only minor, and I do stress very minor complaint is that the plastic can have a small bubble effect on the screen where not all of it touches the screen. Although as time goes on, and the leather stretches it seems to be disappearing as the plastic seems to be relaxing more on the screen.
I had had those hard clear plastic cases before this, but this blows them away, not only is nicer looking, you don't have to worry about the outside plastic getting scratched and obscuring your screen.
Highly recommended.
Customer Review: 2 years running Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this case when I bought my zune 30 in august of 2007. My zune has survived many falls and a lot of rain because of this case. This thing looks stylish and protects my zune wonderfully. after two years of having it, two years of it being on my zune, and two years of constant everyday usage(2+hours a day of walking - in the rain, heat, snow and humidity) the case has finally started to show its age. The case itself is still in the perfection it was when I got it but the belt clip has worn down to the metal.
I bought this when it was around 30-40$, and I believe it has well been worth that.
The only problem I have had with it is the same problem commented about in other reviews, the plastic screen can get dirty on the inside/the bubbles from being in contact with the zune can cause the video to be semi-hard to see but honestly it isn't a big deal, if i want to watch a video I can take it out of its case.
When I buy the Zune HD(which I will because the zune has proved itself as a durable and reliable device - it has lasted longer than any constant use electronic device I have ever had) I will purchase another DLO case like this one, if they make it.
Customer Review: It ain't all that pretty, but it does an okay job. Summary: 3 Stars
First of all this isn't the worst looking case I've seen (I reserve that dubious designation for the ithong). It's... got an aged look. Retro perhaps? I am unsure how precisely to describe it. It's black with a brown lining. Soft, yet a bit snug. It's hard to push the Zune in or our. The sides are soft though, so it shouldn't damage the Zune considering how scratch resistant the Zune is.
The flip cover can be used as a kickstand, although that purpose is rather useless considering that videos are viewed while holding the Zune sideways.
That is also not to mention that the naked Zune balances perfectly on its side if you want to watch a video and look at photos.
Belt clip works, though as a previous reviewer has stated a big belt will prevent the snap from coming down on the clip properly so it could fall off.
The case is highly durable feeling, even though the case smells like chemically altered leather. Then again I'm spoiled by my Rio Karma's Vaja case and this is a third of the cost.
Customer Review: Huh? Summary: 5 Stars
The product was fine. It was a case for the Zune 80. But after recvng the item, Amazon told me that the Zune 80 that I bought if for, wasn't available anymore. What do you do with a case for the Zune 80 without the Zune 80????? Not a problem. I found a few thousand Zune 80 that were available at other merchants. Yep......... I had to go elsewhere, but with positive results. Hey Amazon, as a very long customer, if you don't have the product you promised that you had in stock, at least let us valued customers know that buying acessories doesn't quite make us satisfied. It's like buying a cage for a Saber Tooth Tiger. You are right, there's nothing to put in the cage anymore. But you still have the cage that can never be used. Sorry, but I'm not too sure about coming back to Amazon, for more of this. It was only the first time you failed, so after I cool off....... I'll be back. I'm Done Venting. Thanks for listening. Amazon is still first class.
Customer Review: One thumb up for the DLO Folio Case Summary: 3 Stars
Overall, I'd give the DLO Folio case a thumbs up. It does have it's shortcomings, such as the flip portion of the case is rather hard to flip open when the headphones, or any other adapter, is in the jack. It takes a sort of pull up and out technique to get it to pass through the hole provided. But, really, that is my only complaint. Quite frustrating when the case is restricting the access of your Zune. The pros; however, outweigh the cons. The leather is soft and looks great when paired with your Zune. The gadget itself sits nice and snug inside the case and feels safe & secure. The buttons are easily pressed even through the protective plastic layer, and unlike the headphone jack, the USB port and hold button are easily accessed. It looks good, feels good, and keep my Zune clothed and comfy.
