My DLO Hip Case Leather Folio case just arrived. My iPod Touch 2G fits perfectly. Nice and snug, leaving access to all ports, including the volume rocker switch.
My only complaint is that there is no hole for the light sensor. But, if my thinking is correct, the iPod darkens in dark rooms and brightens in the light so you can see it better. Not allowing access to the light sensor would just make it slightly darker all the time, saving the battery a tiny, tiny bit.
I agree with an earlier review that I wish it had a little pocket on the side for a stylus. I guess I am used to using a stylus on my Palm Tungsten and am considering getting a stylus for this for easier text entry, but there is no where to store it. I suppose since a stylus is non-standard, most people won't use a stylus, so this is a far-out request.

This DLO HipCase Leather Folio for iPod Touch 1G and 2G is very well made with high quality leather & strong stitching and should last for many years. I also got from Amazon a Ten One Design Pogo Stylus for iPod touch 2G (Black) I also highly recommend this little stylus, it works very well on my iPod Touch 1G and the little clip holder is a great bonus. I was able to insert the iPod with the Pogo clip coming out of the opening on the left side of the DLO case that is made for accessing the volume control on the iPod 2G. It's a tight fit but works great for me as I leave my iPod inside it's DLO case . This will not work off course if you have an iPod Touch 2G because you will need to maintain access to the volume control.Customer Review: This case broke my iPod after a year of use.

This has to be the best case for the iPod Touch out there.
Some people have complained about the smell. The smell was not a problem for me and now that I have had it for several months the odor is very faint.
Long term review:
I have now had this case fro about a year. It has led to my screen being broken.
The clip on the back has a little metal nub that is supposed to help the clip stay on your pocket, or whatever.
But this nub also pushed into the back of the iPod and yesterday it pushed into the back so hard that the LCD screen now has a large gray blob that doesn't work. So the case I purchased to protect my iPod has led to it being broken.
Be careful and make sure the back of your iPod Touch is protected too!

I don't usually write reviews for products but this one is an exception.
I looked at a lot of different IPOD cases, this one looked good.
As it turned out this case is perfect for me. It holds the IPOD tightly, and closes to protect the screen. I can easily clip it to my belt, but more often I slip it into my pocket, where it is well protected from scratches. It is made from what looks to me like high quality leather, no plastic. It has easy access to the ear and charger cable, it even has cut-outs for the volume buttons on my 2G. It looks like a wallet, so when I open it up I am not drawing attention to myself. I have been using it for about a month, and I have found no downside. Some reviewers commented on the smell, none here at all, about the same as a new wallet. I am very happy with this purchase!

I got this to protect our new Ipod Touch Third Generation which is used by our entire family which includes three boys. It has all the necessary openings for the charger, on/off buttons, earphone input and the side volume control on the Ipod Touch. There is no need for any modifications at all, it is just right. The Ipod slid right in no problem. Very nice quality in looks, feel and function. I especially like the flip open cover which is held shut by magnets and the belt clip. The flip open cover (which can be flipped all the way to the back) allows the kids to play their games whether it be vertical or horizontal and also privacy for whatever you're listening to.Apple iPod touch 8 GB (3rd Generation) NEWEST MODEL
