Customer Review: DataStor UNBCPX 3-Fan Notebook Cooling Pad
Summary: 5 Stars

For a simple cooler without extras like built-in USB ports, this is the perfect cooler. It runs off the USB port, and is completely silent. I mean completely silent too. It doesn't blow very hard, but with three fans, the bottoms of my two laptops only get slightly warm to the touch. Since it runs off the USB, if you turn off the laptop, it goes down with it. A quick test confirms that it will power down when your laptop is in Standby mode too. It also has an on/off switch. For the below $20 price, it couldn't be a better choice.

Customer Review: Works great but COULD break rather easy if dropped...
Summary: 5 Stars

I have an Acer Aspire 5100 meaning it's prone to overheat...I plugged this bad boy in, and in an instant you could feel a drop in the overall temperature. I have a tray that elevates the laptop so that the hot air isn't trapped between the laptop and the surface (which in itself was a waste of money), I was able to place the unit in the tray on the laptop without nay problems. My only concern is that it is EXTREMELY light and dropping it upon a hard surface means it is over. For being used, it is in great quality.

Customer Review: good for price
Summary: 3 Stars

You really have to think about how you are going to be using this when thinking about buying it. It is feels extremely cheap. Honestly, I feel like I could break it simply by putting my laptop on it too hard. I definitely would not buy this if you intend on moving it around a lot since I doubt it could take the abuse. I keep it in the same spot and use it only when burning dvds, or running programs that cause my macbook to heat up a lot, so it works for me. I've only used it a few days, but it seems to cool my laptop off.

Customer Review: Unhappily deceived
Summary: 2 Stars

I purchased the DataStor notebook cooling pad after reading so many good reviews. I was very satisfied for the first month or so until the front fan started making an awful rumbling sound. I decided I couldn't stand the noise and had to block the fan with a piece of tape. So now my front fan doesn't work and now the back left fan is acting up as well. This cooler is cheap and poorly made and considerably smaller than the size of my laptop. Not to mention that my laptop is now overheating much faster.

Customer Review: Perfect for my computer
Summary: 5 Stars

This cooling pad was perfect for my laptop (Dell XPS M-1210). If your laptop has larger length and width dimensions than that model, this fan may be a bit small. The fans have been keeping the bottom of the laptop cool even after 8 hours of continuous high demand usage on the laptop. I was surprised how quite the three fans are, even quieter than my laptop's fans when they kick into high gear (which happens often while using high demand applications). I think it was well worth the money!
