Customer Review: Beware of this Screen!

I recently purchased (3) of these Da-lite Tripod screens just about exactly a month ago. I own and operate an Audio Visual business in Nashville, TN. Each of these 3 screens have been used a few times since purchase and until today seemed like they were working great. I went to lower the height of one of the screens, after a meeting today, and the heighth adjustment pull out knob broke off. The inner spring and pin that connected to the knob fell off inside the shaft and now the heighth bar cannot be adjusted up or down. There is no way that I can see to lower the shaft without damage or scarring. After paying almost $300.00 for the screen, and only a month later, AND with it being a "Da-Lite", I have to say this is pretty pathetic and I am extremely disappointed!!! Heck, I have a cheap, old "Elite" brand screen that was purchased in 2006 and it is still working and usuable. I do take extremely good care of my equipment anyway, but it looks like I will REALLY have to baby these other 2 Da-lites to get any service out of them!!! My advice to anyone thinking about purchasing these Da-Lite Tripods, be aware and seek out and compare other brands. I thought Da-Lite was the or about the best out there. I better think again!!!!
