Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of DVI Gear HDMI Cable 2M (6 Feet)Customer Review: Such a great deal! Works very well! Summary: 5 Stars
I am pleased to write to all of you that this product not only has a fantastic price, unlike so many other products out there, but it also works as good as another product (heck, better) I bought not long ago for more than twice the price. A few months back I bought a Belkin product that was couple with a Blu-Ray DVD that "looked" like pretty good quality; thick sleeve, gold tipped ends, etc. I had it plugged into my PS3 and for a little while it looked fantastic. Then about several weeks ago I started seeing intermittent issues with the picture. I thought my PS3 was failing on me, great! and the warranty recently ended too! I went online chatting on forums to see if anyone else was experiencing similar issues and they did but a few had alternative solutions.
An online vendor that repairs and sells refurbished PS3's said to me, "It will cost you $99 to repair your PS3's HDMI socket and another $25 for shipping and handling." Never once did they offer, "Did you try changing out the HDMI cable?"
Guess what folks, it was the cable. This cable saved me over $100 and it did it with style and grace! It looks, dare I say, even better than the Belkin it replaced at a fraction of the cost.
It just goes to show you folks, "sometimes" you get a lot more for what you pay for. Do a little research, save a lot of money- I did now it's your turn!
Customer Review: If you spent more than this, you might feel a little silly now Summary: 5 Stars
I went with my grandma to help her move into the new world and get rid of her console tv. We started at Best Buy and got a great tv and then the guy started trying to up sell us and of course my grandma was eating it up. He tried to get us to purchase a HDMI cable for $100. I turned to my grandma and said "NO, I can do it cheaper". So we hooked up her tv with the coaxial cable and I started the search for an HMDI that was reasonable. This cable seemed too cheap to be any good. I mean I've gotten good cheap cables before, I'm the one who sets everything up for my family. But at this price I just wasn't sure because I've gotten really BAD cheap cables before too. I read the reviews and figured it was so cheap that I could just take the loss if the cables were no go. SO I ordered 2 for our TV to try it out .... WOW, what a difference. And the cables seem really well made and solid. The wires are not thin and the HDMI connectors don't seem flimsy or like they will be suffering from wire fatigue in a few months. They seem like really good, solid, well manufactured cables. Our tv now looks like my husband's dad's tv and he used the hundred dollar cable. And this is coming from a tech snob, it's gotta look good guys, it just has too. So I bought another one for my grandma and now her tv looks phenomenal (it's bigger than ours so it makes a really big difference.)
Customer Review: Works as good as the expensive ones! Summary: 5 Stars
I watched a show on TV (And you know if its on TV it must be true LOL) where they tested inexpensive cables compared to the top of the line cables and showed their was no visible or audio difference for HDMI cables.
So I bought these and I can't see any difference but BIG difference in price. (I'm an expert TV watcher don't you know!)
I use it with a 1080P 52" LCD and a 42" 720P Plasma with PS3, Sony BDP S550 Bluray, Xbox 360 and a VCR (Just kidding about the VCR it uses a different cable)
One other thing I should mention is I suffer from CSS syndrome (Can's See POOP syndrome) Oh yeah I'm a handsome single man looking for a 28 to 35 year old single, medium to thinner woman. If she has a 2040P Tv it would be pretty cool! (I figure before I meet a nice woman 2040P will be the new standard)
You should be a very Brave Girl! I like to watch things like Indiana Jones and Laura Croft Tomb Raider and I'm quite the adventurer myself. My last girl friend left after a trip to Key West when we were flying through the clouds on the way home. Every little bump and she started crying. It was a fairly nice flight except for 30 minutes where I couldn't fly around the clouds and had to go through them.
If your the right woman for me send me a letter, at "Scubareel at G mail dot com"
Customer Review: 60 dollar cable at circuit city, SEE YAAAAAAAA Summary: 5 Stars
My girl and I bought a 1080p- capable tv, an upsacaling dvd player and
a 60 dollar 3 foot monster cable.
When I bought the cable, I didnt know anything about HDMI Technology,
and the circuit city guy said that the monster cable was the only thing
that could "handle the bandwidth" of a 1080p signal. (as a note, he also said that a 100 monster cable was needed to handle the bandwidth of blueray, because it used 12 bit color)
I know a little about electronics, and I was baffled as to how a group of wires devoid of any semiconductor logic could cost this much. I bought the cable anyway, then did some research. Alot of people online said "A digital signal looks the same on any cable... with a digital signal it either works, or doesnt work".
I bought this cable and then did a side by side comparison of the monster cable and this one, and as the research had said, the picture was exactly the same. On both cables, the upscaling dvd player and tv were reporting a 1080p signal... so there it was - a 2 dollar cable with the "bandwidth capabiltiy" of a 60 dollar cable.
When i returned the 60 dollar cable to circuit city, I was happy as hell. I had to have my girlfried with me so I didnt act like a dick when I was getting my 60 dollars back XD
Customer Review: The best $3 I think I have EVER spent!!! Summary: 5 Stars
When I first started to look for an HDMI cable at local electronic stores, the cheapest one I was able to find was $40. I was tempted to buy it right then thinking I wasn't going to find anything cheaper, but when I went on my computer and searched for one on Amazon, the first cable to pop up was less than $3! I was skeptical to why they were so cheap, but the reviews were mostly great and I went ahead and ordered one. Even with free shipping, I received it in the mail earlier than expected. At first, I did have trouble getting it to work though. I was trying to hook my PS3 to my TV with the HDMI cable. I knew how to set the settings and everything, but I just couldn't get the HDMI to display anything, but it did eventually work. All I can say is that this is how PS3 is made to be played! No more unreadable text, no more dark screens, and no more fuzzy picture, just a crisp and clear picture that has made all my games and movies much more enjoyable. I haven't had any issues with the cable since, but I wouldn't be surprised if I did seeing how it took me to get it working. If you're skeptical like I was, take the chance and get this HDMI cable. Three bucks is worth the small gamble, heck I can't go to a fast food place and spend less than $3 anymore! Buy this cable and you won't regret it.
