Customer Review: Really does work!

My husband fixes grandfather clocks in homes and finally had it with dogs jumping on his beautifully scripted van, or bitten when entering a home, or just being a nuisance when trying to fix a clock. Cats are worse in the home, but after reading the reviews and finding out that the Dazer works most of the time, he was willing to gamble.
The first time he tried it (we were out in our yard and the neighbor's dog was going nuts) it didn't faze the dog and we were SO disappointed. Then a second dog came out and boy, did he jump and back up. He disappeared quickly.
The first home he went into, it worked amazingly on the yapping little poodle, so he was glad he got it. He has a LOT of stories to tell now!!!
He's only had a few cats and dogs that don't respond to it, but 99% have, and it's worth it to keep on his belt! He's still not sure why most customers think he likes their pets and why they don't lock them up while he's in the home...but now he's basically "free' of them and he's grateful for this product!!!!!!!

I have a next door neighbor in my townhouse complex who had a friend and her yappy loud barking dog staying with them for months. When the people were away, the dog would bark at ANYthing that went near any window. Since I work from home, this annoyed me all day, so I researched ultrasonic dog trainers and found this little gem. As soon as I got it and that barking mutt started, I hit the button and....SILENCE!!!! I was amazed and ecstatic!
Well, since then, friend and barky dog have moved out (thank goodness!), but this past weekend, the neighbors where dog sitting and yes, the mutt started up again when I was out in the back yard. So, I got the Dazer, went to the back of the house and after 2 barks, hit the button...he took off for other parts of the house! It's still working great!
I also keep the Dazer around to help discipline my cats occasionally for bad behavior, fighting, etc. That's one thing you need to be wary of...it affects ALL pets in the vicinity of where you're using it, not just dogs, so be careful when and where you activate it.

Very impressed with this device. It worked wonders on the neighbor's dogs. They would bark non-stop when I'm in my back yard--not any more! When I aimed the device at them, both dogs ran QUICKLY and hide in the garage, tails between their legs. I have nothing against animals but the non-stop barking was getting on my nerves. I have tried talking with the neighbors about their dogs, they were unresponsive.
I did try it on another dog who barks non-stop out the homeowner's windows. It did not seem to penetrate the glass; however, the dog did hear something as it quieted his barking and his ears did twitch. It did the trick but he did not run and hide as the other dogs had done.
I would suggest this device to any one who has troubles with dogs that bark non-stop. I plan to take it overseas when visiting third world countries where dogs can get rather aggressive and the idea of getting chomped by one of these dogs is frightening. I wonder how it would work on the monkeys in India? I plan to buy another one and give it to a friend as an early Xmas present!

Alas, the two dogs across the street were doing what they do best, barking at anything that moves. I unwrapped my Doggie Dazer II like a kid at Christmas. Fresh with excitement from all the positive reviews I had read here, I moseyed over to their side of the street and pressed the button. The red light went on, and the dogs cocked their heads slightly and proceeded to bark as though it was egging them on. Dang it!
Undeterred, I strolled up the street to a problem Jack Russel. On cue, he started up. He followed me from one corner of his lawn down the sidewalk barking at me and jumping up and down the whole way. I kept the button down and gave him a dose the entire length of the fence line. He continued to bark as if the Dazzer was encouraging him to bark more and possibly louder.
I changed the battery to make sure I hadn't been shipped a unit with a weak signal and repeated the steps above to no greater success.
Unfortunately, in the fight between man and dog - dog won. Dismayed, but not defeated, I will continue in my search.

I have two terriors whose barking can drive even me nuts! I am not comfortable with using a shock collar. After reading reviews - and seeing an article in the NY Times magazine section - about how good this is, I thought I would give it a try.
I can't give it a 5-star rating, and I feel a 3-star one wouldn't be fair either - I wish there was a way to give half stars.
My female dog responded almost immediately - the first time I used the dazer, she backed away. She will still start to bark - particularly if the older, male dog does - but will stop immediately when I use the dazer and say "no bark." She has ALMOST stopped barking at every single noise.
The male dog is older and it seems to have no effect on him. He is on the high strung side in any case, I can point this at him and say "no bark" and he totally ignores it for the most part. He is obviously aware of the noise, but shrugs it off. The dazer has some affect on him - but not enough to bother him. He probably would ignore a shock collar as well (sigh)!
