Customer Review: Works Like A Charm, Wonderful Quiet

I was skeptical when purchasing this item even though it had good feedback. I live in a small apartment with a house in close proximity. The nearest part of the deck on the house is approx. 10 feet from my apartment. You guessed it!! A huge dog spends a lot of time on the deck (right outside my apartment) barking and barking and barking.
I deceided I might as well give the Dazer a try. After I received this product I couldn't wait for the barking to start and I didn't have to wait long.
One blast from the Dazer and that big dog turned around and ran in the house. The next time he barked, same thing happened and he ran right back in the house. It took about 3 time with the Dazer, now the big guy lays quietly on the deck and I don't have to hear hours of barking.
It even worked once when the dog was at the far end of the deck barking and I think that would be approx. 20 - 25 feet from my apartment.
This product is the best!!!

i live in a good neighborhood: not too many loose dogs roaming the area so i hardly ever have to use it while i am jogging. it is mostly just a security blanket that i carry with me out of habbit, just in case. so when i heard a rather large dog barking at me i wasnt too concerned until it started running toward me as the dog's owner just watched without saying anything. the dog was not at a full aggressive charge but definitely on the aggressive side until it got about 5-10 feet behind me as i was jogging by. i usually panic by this stage but for some reason i was unusually calm and i pointed the dazer II behind me and pressed the dazer II button for about 2 seconds and the dog immediately stopped charging and turned around. im guessing that for best results you have to surprise the dog with the dazer II when the dog is close and least expects it. i test the dazer II about once a year by pointing it at a glass of water and watching the reflection on the top of the water vibrate.Customer Review: Pet training and unfriendly deterrent.

Don't let the given name mis-lead you, this product works when used as designed. It is an effective training aid for re-inforcement of verbal commands for your own pet and can assist in the pesky next door mutt who barks at the wind or anything else.
It might be the second or two you need in another situation to allow a better defense in the case of a domestice pet that is not so nice, or one you don't know.
We live a residential neighborhood, and some people let their pets run free despite the law. The Dog Dazer has proven to be a good tool used in conjunction with the element of surprise and verbal backup when the local run-about dog or cat decided to use our front yard for relief break. Cats especially need other means of re-inforcement for training purposes. This usually means show of action like movement towards etc. They can hear it fine, but do not respond as dogs do.
All in all, this was a good decision to purchase, maybe need one extra for the shop!

I first heard about the Dazer from a friend who got one and recommended it to me as a way of deterring nuisance-dog barking. A neighbor has three mutts that annoyingly yap for long periods throughout the day, without being stopped or disciplined by their owner... so I bought the Dazer in a near-desperate attempt to remedy the situation before having to take more drastic action like reporting the neighbor to the local Humane Society.
I have to say, I was initially skeptical that it would do the trick but from the first time I used it, I noticed that the dogs stopped their barking almost immediately. I've used the Dazer consistently for almost two weeks, and knock on wood, I've noticed a big change in the amount of barking that comes from next door - the dogs actually don't yap like how they used to! Sure, they still bark on occasion... but definitely not for long periods like before. THANK YOU very much to whoever invented this great product - you're a God-send.

I know that there are mixed reviews on
this product. All I can say is that it
has worked quite well in my situation
(in conjunction with the Petsafe Ultrasonic
Bark Deterrent).
To say that the dog next door to me
is a chronic barker, somewhat
pigheaded, and generally a pain in
the ass somewhat understates the
situation... The owner, who shares
most of these characteristics with
his animal, has always pretty much
taken the position that if it bothers
me, it's my problem.
I came closer to killing this
animal than I care to recall
(I had chambered a round and
was willing to do the jail time).
Luckily, I thought I ought to try
any reasonable alternatives first
and these two products, in tandem,
seem to do the trick, at least with
this particular dog. So no jail time.
Highly recommended.
