Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of D-Link 4-Port RangeBooster Wireless-N RouterCustomer Review: Excellent router, great range, interface, packed with power features Summary: 5 Stars
I just replaced my semi-dysfunctional WRT54G Linksys router (2nd in a row) with this router, and I couldn't be happier. I've had several problems with the Linksys, and this router solved them all.
The web interface is easy to use, packed with features (such as auto-populating MAC address for assigning to a static IP on a LAN, support for DMZ, port forwarding, etc). The range is great - I previously needed extra antennae for Linksys to reach my living room, but this router reaches it just fine, with full strenght on my MacBook Pro.
If you need a powerful yet simple to use router - this one is great.
Highly recommended!
Customer Review: Great Router Summary: 4 Stars
it's a great wireless router, never seen dropped or I never need to reboot.
range is great for town house. You could also put additional antenna if you need.
Setup is not difficult, it is just different then the others. if is your first router you might going to spent some time on it. if you don't know about computers you must use help.
I spend 2 hours to find the mac filter but I couldn't find it, I asked my brother and he told me that sometimes it is not the mac filter it could be network filter. After then it took me like 5 minutes to set it up.
if you need wireless network security use mac filter, it is a lot simpler and secure.
Customer Review: Good router if it works Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this router about two months ago to replace my old netgear router because of Draft 802.11n specification and better range.
The setup of the router was very simple and configuration options looked very promising (Traffic shapping, uPnP support, WPA2 etc) for the router of this cost.. until the router simply died on me while I was working. There was no indication of any kind of power fluctuation etc (All my other devices continued to work during this time).
I am not sure if I just got a bad piece or the quality of this product is suspect. It does look like more reviewers in this site have success with this router.
Customer Review: FANTASTIC ROUTER Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this D-Link DIR-625 as a wireless internet connection source through my cable modem for my Laptop and Desktop computers. From the moment it was connected it has worked wonderfully, not one problem... I am not a computer savvy individual but I did get some help from a friend who knows all the ins and outs of computer equipment and he thought I made a good choice and so do I. I have the router installed in my upstairs bedroom but I get great uninterrupted service downstairs and even out in my yard. Even though this particular router is a 802.11n, my Laptop actually has an 802.11g card; but the compatibility is awesome.
Customer Review: Uh huh.. Summary: 4 Stars
This router got to my house on estimated arrival date, was cheaper than in stores, and easier to install than I could imagine...The only thing was that the manufacturer tries to get you to subscribe to a free 30 day trial of their security software. I didn't want to sign up for the trial because I didn't want to pay for it later. I called up the manufacturer support line, and talked to a very nice man who showed me how to go through internet explorer to protect my router. As long as your router is under warranty, the help desk will assist you for free...atleast thats what I got from their automated phone system.
