We bought the "D-Link DIR-625 RangeBooster Wireless Draft 802.11n N Router with 2 Antennas" to replace an older D-Link model that was blown-out in a power outage. I dreaded having to configure a new device, but was pleasantly surprised on how easy it was install and setup the DIR-625. It did take a few minutes to figure out where to enter my WEP settings, but once that was complete all of my home wireless devices (4 Laptops, a PC, a Wii, 4 DSs', a Disk Server, and a Printer) connected right away. The DIR-625 also has 4 network LAN ports and these came up with no problem at all.
My old wireless router only had one antenna, but the DIR-625 has two. This concerned me because I had a D-Link extended antenna so the old router would reach up to the second floor of our house. Happily, the DIR-625 provides coverage without needing the extended antenna.
For ease of setup and great coverage, highly recommended!

I've been using this Dlink DIR-625 router for a month now. My cable internet provider is Comcast (NJ). Before with Linksys 54G v4 I had to reset the router a couple of times daily; it was very, very annoying. Spent time on the phone with Comcast tech support people, Linksys, upgraded firmware.. the whole nine yards. No luck.
After reading reviews on Amazon, I bought it on Newegg.com (they offered a free N card with the purchase, a [...]. Their customer service is very good too, possibly as good as Amazon's). The installation (I have a Vista PC) took 10 minutes, and viola - the speed of my wireless network increased 3x-4x times, and, most importantly, haven't lost a connection once in the past month (!!).
W-o-w.
P.S. Recommended this to a newbie colleague at work, he confirmed that the installation was a snap, and everything works extremely well with his Cablevision cable internet.

-The documentation package of the D-Link DIR-625 is excellent so does the setup steps. The D-Link configuration utilities are very easy even for the regular user.
-This unit could be set either vertical or horizontal position (there is a stand included).
-All ports and lights are clearly labeled or color coded.
-This unit comes with QoS a technology that helps streaming media and VoIP (Skype, Vonage, Video chat, etc) with reliability.
Cons:
-This unit like most Draft-N does not fully operate with other brands at its full speed.
-Do not believe all the publicity, since when it comes to real life configurations, I cannot see that much difference in speeds between G and N routers. The best results are obtained when you are using matching N routers and N adapter cards.
Note:
Make sure you upgrade the firmware before you setup the router to avoid bumping into some bugs.

i was planning to buy DIR-655 Extreme N Router originally but i just decided to get this DIR-625 because i didn't really wanted to spend that much on a router so i got this 625 instead but so far it's working GREAT!!!! Wireless is hell lot faster than wired connection too i played several games with wireless connection and no problems at all. my friend has the DIR-655 but he already had problems with it but i haven't so i'm glad i bought the 625 instead (GREAT RANGE TOO!!!) DIR-655, i guess it's somewhat faster but you can't even tell the difference between 625 and 655. easy install (lot easier than my crappy old linksys g router) i would definitely recommend this router if you are looking for not too cheap, fast, and reliable router no more linksys go D-LINK!!!! (i did a lot of research too for this router and dir-655 both but i didn't see that much of a difference... my personal opinion)Customer Review: Solid Router

Another Solid Router by D-Link, I have owned several models before this one. I did have to make some tweaks out of the box as its security features were set a bit too high for my taste. I'm a IT professional and I can configure my own router, but the new defaults are great for someone who doesn't know anything about internet security.
My only complaint is the usb port doesn't seem to work with my Macs. I was excited about putting a usb hard drive there for some network storage but it didn't work in a few minutes that I tried it. It was a bonus feature that I wasn't expecting and it might work with some more work looking for drivers.
Good Range, fast, and it can handle computers running a lot of traffic. No P2P meltdowns so far. Works well with my laptops desktops and Iphone.
