Customer Review: Great Wireless Router, Fast n speed, Reliable, Stable, Good Range, and Easy to Setup what more is there?
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a Great router. It is very easy to setup and the once your hook up your modem to the wireless router, you can connect almost immediately. It is very fast, very durable and is easy to find with whatever computer, pda, phone you want to sync up to. Of course there is nothing faster than connecting via wire, but this wireless router definitely is about the closest your're going to get if you are going to go wireless. I've done several internet speed tests and it consistently reaches download speeds of 5-7 mbps, when I get 15-19 mbps by wire connection. That is what I would consider pretty darn good for wireless connection and you can't really tell when you are browsing. The internet administration settings are easy to access and very easy to manipulate to maximize performance for your particular setting. I have no complaints with this in fact I have several of these at home, at work, at my sister-in-laws. I've setup and recommend this router to just about everyone I meet. I'm sure there are more complicated, fancier models out there by now, but for what it does and simplicity, this is the router to get.

Customer Review: Easy set up and no dropped signals!
Summary: 4 Stars

After increasing frustration with constant dropped signals on our old wrt54g, it was time to upgrade! I had preferred to stay with Linksys since I've been using their networking gear forever and been satisfied. But... the reviews and comments on the Linksys 802.11n products were not encouraging at all so thought I'd give D-Link a try.

I'm glad I did as I've been very impressed with the performance, speed and set up. In the month that I've had this, I haven't seen one dropped signal or had to do a reset at all - something that was a daily if not hourly occurrence before. This is used in conjunction with a desktop computer that has the recently purchased Linksys Ultra RangePlus Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network Adapter WUSB600N, a laptop with internal 802.11g adapter, xbox with wireless g adapter and nintendo wii. All work great all the time connected to the D-Link. The only complaint is the relatively weak signal on the laptop and desktop despite being on the same level and always within 50 feet.

Customer Review: A1 Best Buy
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this router 2/09 after returning an off-brand that wouldn't work with Dell laptop unless hardwired (kinda defeated the purpose). Due to my own fault I didn't return the other product within the grace period but Amazon was Amazing in giving me close to a full refund anyway. I decided to buy this router because my old wifi router was a D-Link and it had worked flawlessly for 9 years. In fact it was still working, but not at full speed and would often cause me to have to Repair my connection on start-up. Anyway after nearly 8 months the new D-Link has operated perfectly. I have used it with a Dell Laptop, an HP laptop, an HP desktop and a Toshiba laptop. The range allows me to sit outside, 75 feet from where the router is placed and is always blazing fast. The set-up was a breeze and took 10 minutes or less. I spent 2 days with tech support trying to get the Off-brand unit to work hardwired to my desktop and another 3 days for wifi. Also spent a day with Dell tech - they even had me pull my laptop modemn (a total nightmare)! I learned my lesson the hard way. I'll stick to D-Link from now on.

Customer Review: Easy install, works great
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my first experience with wireless and it was a very good experience. I purchased a new wireless laptop and wanted to use it throughout the house, so I purchased this router when I ordered the laptop. I based this decision on price and the reviews.

I was a little leery based on some of the comments regarding installation, but it couldn't have gone any smoother. I inserted the CD, followed the instructions, and less than 10 minutes later, including going down the basement to unplug, then later plug in the cable modem, the router was installed. The laptop came a few days later, turned it on and it connected flawlessly to the router. Then I hit the wireless setup button on my wireless printer and it connected in a few minutes and works great with my laptop. Have only used it for about a week, but have always had full bars and have never had a dropout a floor below or out on the patio.

I saw some discussion regarding the revision of this router, and I thought this would be the new "C", but it was "A2". Doesn't really matter to me since it worked great for me.

Customer Review: Fantastic hardware, software however...
Summary: 2 Stars

As far as the router goes, I have absolutely no complaints. It was easy to set up, I've had no issues connecting it to any of my computers, and it provides a strong signal to the entire house. The problem is the securespot 2.0 software which really provides no value whatsoever. The router comes with a free 1-month trial, after which, I disabled the service. This was not a problem until recently. I upgraded the firmware and they released the 2.0 version of the software from 1.0. Now, whenever I get disconnected from my ISP (comcast, so, about 5 times a week) it blocks my access to the internet. When I called technical support, the only advice they gave was to enable and disable securespot in the settings of the router three times. Why it needs to be 3 times, I don't know, but this solution does work every time, I just have to do it 5 times a week which is very annoying. This may not be a problem for you, and this problem may go away with future firmware or software updates, but until then, I would look to a different manufacturer if I were going to replace mine.
