Customer Review: Small box and Big Satisfaction
Summary: 5 Stars

Like most I depend not only on descriptions from the mfg, but also the
customer feedback. I decided the price was right to see for myself. When it arrived I was surprised at the small size of the unit. I read the directions, connected cables, and put in the DVD. My only setback was I didn't know how to change the region settings. Here's my experience with customer servive. This unit comes preset for Region One and has to be changed in the menu to play other DVD's. I had trouble finding the exact place in the manuel and even wondered if I have the right player. I emailed them that night and by morning the answer was in my inbox. I followed the instructions and viola! I was at the menu page for region settings. I selected the region I wanted and my movies played perfectly.
I later went through the manuel and felt like an idiot when I found the page that gave info on how to get to DVD settings. Yet, it was nice to know they gave me great service and quick turn around on my questions. Now back to the operation of the unit. I used the cables that came with the unit to hook it to my television. The remote is very lightweight, slim, and easy to use. I am currently enjoying my UK movies and I believe I made a good economical choice.

Customer Review: I have bought 3 of these. They work, but only for a SHORT TIME.
Summary: 3 Stars

Like all region free players the CYBER HOME has it's "GLITCHES".
It will give you digital scatter and freeze up and the sound will fade in and out, but only every once in awhile. If you turn it off and start over again, usually, the glitches will fix themselves long enough for you to watch a movie all the way through, until it starts glitching again. So, why have I purchased 3? Because at the price, you can AFFORD to throw them away every 6 or seven months when they die completely. Up to this point I haven't even spent over 100$ on them, and it's been over a year and a half of use. To buy a NICE RELIABLE region free player, it would cost, on avarage, $150. So, I will keep buying them until I reach that price range and then I'll break down and buy a RELIABLE one. But since I have ALREADY bought 3 of these, I can't stop now, till I reach that goal.(I don't know why.) So it's up to you. Spend the BIGGER money up from for something reliable, or buy these cyberhomes until you've reached the two year money apex($150, roughly) and 4 sessions of 6 month reliability. Your choice. But when they DO work, they work beautifully. They are portable, and light and space-savers, so that is always nice too.

Customer Review: HOLY CRAPOLA IT WORKS
Summary: 5 Stars

so i've had this dvd player for about 6 months because i had originally planned on using it to play my asian dvds. well, i was only able to get my hands on some nice asian dvds the other day so in the meantime, i've only been playing 'region 1' and 'all' dvds (which the dvd player plays AMAZINGLY)

so i go and try out my asian dvds and terror of all terrors, it says WRONG REGION. now, before i flip out, i do my research and lo and behold, i found a way to MAKE the dvd player region-free. i repeat, you must MAKE the dvd player region-free; otherwise, it'll only play 'region 1' and 'all' *don't worry, it's quite painless*

ok so listen carefully... er look carefully. first, make sure that there is no disc in the tray. and then, press 'menu' then '1' then '9' on the remote that comes with the player (in that precise order!)
a small menu screen should pop out with a big fat '1' in the center. using the numbered buttons on the remote, adjust it to whichever region code you desire. and voila, your cyberhome can now play any region from 1-6.

hope that helped and saved you some pain because this really is a GREAT dvd player for the money!

Customer Review: Great multi region DVD player
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this DVD player as just moved from UK to US, and have lots of region 1 and 2 DVD's. This machine plays them all with no problems, it can also do PAL and NTSC picture formats, and it is multi voltage, i.e will work on UK and US electricity.
It can be used anywhere in the world, and has connections for S-video, component and other connections, so will hook up to any TV, I also connected it to my stereo, so have good sound as well.
Some other low reviews (1 star, piece of junk) seem to have had problems with theirs, but you just need to make sure the settings are right in the menu for the DVD player to connect to your TV properly.
The remote control is small, like the machine itself, but has lots of features, including pause with frame by frame playing, A-B repeat, jump to a certain time in the DVD and lots more.
As a final bonus, the whole thing is only 9" square, so will fit anywhere in your living room, bedroom etc with all your furniture, TV and any other equipment.
In short, if you are looking for a player to watch DVD's from any region in the world, this is the one to get, you won't find a cheaper one!

Customer Review: Does not do the tasks as advertised
Summary: 2 Stars

I am a movie maniac and was looking for real multi-region DVD player. I was hooked on the advertising of this player and bought it for using in my bedroom with old "Sharp" TV. I did see it works with region 1 (USA) and 2 (Europe) and was happy. Then I decided to add the same DVD player to my living room as a sidekick to my "Panasonic" (region 1) DVD player. That was a moment of true. I was experimenting with 2 of "Cyberhome Multi Region Code Free Region Free Zone Free All Region 110/220v Dvd Player w/ Progressive ScanComponent" that I bought on Amazon. Result:
Component Video connected to my TV Sharp "Aquos" appears in Black & White only, S-Video shows the picture, but instead of sound there came out permanent humming static. Finally I found out it works only with Composit Video & Composit Audio. It does not show the subtitles on Region 3 (Asia), so it useless, you can't understand a word. It does not play Region 5 (Russia, China). The massage posted on the TV screen says "Region error". The quallity of picture is average as I compared it with my "Panasonic" (with Component Video connection). The flaw is upsetting me.
