Well!!
I have had the unit for such a short time and have not had to put it to any real test. According to the smart LCD display on front, it indicates that it will do everything that I want. In addition to protection of my computer equipment, I want to keep my DECT 6 phone going as long as possible. With all computer equipment off, the UPS indicates that I have 100 minutes left. It also indicates that there is virtually no power being used. I suspect that 100 minutes is the max read out and that the unit would actually keep the phone running for several days. I hope that another hurricane like Ike doesn't put it to a test.

The quality of the hardware appears to be top notch. It has a very sturdy case, efficiently compact, and very heavy. Plug it in, plug in your components, install the software and it takes care of itself. The program is very simple to set up. It has a setting to create a schedule for turning your equipment on and off to save energy while you're at work. That's awesome. After the incredibly easy setup (it took me five minutes) it looks like I can rest assured that this gadget will take care of my junk from here on out. of course, I haven't had it long enough to see how it holds up over time, and through a real brownout, so we'll see.Customer Review: CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD UPS ... If you can put a desk top pc together (monitor, pc, keyboard, mouse, and speakers) adding the CyberPower UPS is as easy. 3 weeks after I added it to my system there was a power outage. The house went dark except for the pc. It gave me time to close my programs...... or it would have if i were not around. It does all it claims to. This product made me post my first review because it has already proved to me how great it is in the 1 month that I've owned it. LCD screen is great and shows all the info you need to know. Recently had power outage and this thing kicked in immediately! I was in the middle of transferring data from one hard drive to another and I am so glad everything was connected to this UPS! I was able to finish up my work and turn off my equipment with plenty of time and did not lose any data. My set up is an iMac 20" 2.4 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 external hard drives. I bought this for my home surveillance system. I have 4 cameras with 60 foot night vision and 2 infrared 300 feet 98 LED spot light that light up my front yard at night. I have my system pluged in to this battery backup, cams, dvr, spot light, and monitor. With my monitor on it shows output at 6%. With monitor off it shows output at 0%. When the power goes out and monitor off my surveillance dvr and cams have over 3 1/2 hours of run time. If I turn the monitor on I have over 2 1/2 hours or run time. We hardly have power outs for more then an hour, but for me this CyberPower battery backup works great.
