Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD 9-Outlet Intelligent LCD UPS (1000VA/600W)Customer Review: Way better than my old APC Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this unit to replace a 2 year old battery backup from APC. I have my 24" iMac and an external hard drive plugged into it. It started beeping even though the lights indicated everything was ok, and I couldn't get it to stop until i unplugged my computer.
So I purchased the CyberPower and everything is running great. The LCD is very useful, it tells me if the batteries are charged, what % of power capacity I am using(20%) and how much reserve time I have if the power fails at the current usage (20 minutes). It even tells me the voltage input/output (126v) so I can tell if the wiring in my home is okay. It's a lot more useful than having me guess what is wrong with my old UPS.
This will probably be the last one I have to buy for a while.
Customer Review: Ditch your reliance on a name Summary: 5 Stars
I'll admit, I was as liable as anyone with this. You buy a UPS? You get APC. But, this last time, I didn't want to spend the money on the badge simply because I needed a UPS. So, I shopped around a bit. I found a solid deal on this 600W UPS for my home computer and I pulled the trigger. I'm happy I did. The LCD display makes it very esay to see just how much of the UPS I'm using, how long I have left, and everything just feels very intuitive. The only small downside is that the 'power' button is a large, blue button that never, itself, goes off. So, if you're the kind of person who doesn't like a little extra light in a room, it's the only real detractor. And even that is easily camouflaged in a desk setup by turning the UPS towards a wall or desk side.
Customer Review: Great Product for the Price Summary: 4 Stars
The UPS arrived as described and on time, a very attractive device that i was happy to place in my home entertainment center, at my location i frequently have issues with lows in power and outages, this ups def helps me prevent any damage to my equipment, i run a 42" lg 1080p, direct tv dvr. 600w denon receiver with 6 speakers, linksys wireless router, playstation 3 and a cable modem. with all these running i can get up to 20 min out of the UPS even tho the digital readout only says it will last for 12min, when buying a home entertainment system this is a way better investment than a quality surge protecter(like the monster brand one i bought at $59.99). i would recomend this item to anyone intersted in power protection. a great value.
Customer Review: Great Power Supply! Summary: 5 Stars
No problems connecting ALL of my equipment using the new Cyberpower CP1000AVRLCD UPS.
I thought for sure it would overload the unit, but handled everything I had with power to spare.
My only complaint with this unit is the LCD display.
The display only remains on for about 30-40 seconds and then turns off. It would have been NICE to have an option to remain ON or turn it OFF.
I personally like to see the display, just like on my Monster Power Center.
The only way to view the display on the Cyberpower unit, is to press the display button every time.
No mention that the display doesn't remain on in the the manual.
Other than this minor issue, I like really like this unit.
Customer Review: Good UPS for the price you're paying Summary: 4 Stars
After my Belkin 600VA UPS battery died, I found it would be only a little more expensive to buy a new one rather than replace the battery. So after doing some searches, I ended up picking this unit to backup my PC. After unboxing, I plugged it in and it loaded up without issue.
Plugs are label on back, which are UPS and which are surge only. Blue LCD screen only lights up when there's an issue, or if you press the display button on the front panel.
My one gripe with the device is the placement of the coax plugs, they're right on top of a UPS socket making it hard to place the larger plugs that seems to come with all PC devices currently on that side.
All and all, a good device.
