Customer Review: Back-up Power Supply
Summary: 5 Stars

The unit arrived well packaged and quickly. It was put to use almost immediately - I live in the country and our power goes out frequently. Worked like a charm. With the laeger battery, it gives you much more time to shut things down. I also appreciate the number of outlets it has on back - everything in one location. One issue is it does not function long with a low AC supply source, such as a back-up generator, since the voltage is around 120 - 123 volts and the unit likes 122 or more volts. The low voltage causes it to cycle between the battery and line voltage frequently. Although I find this annoying, I do realize that this is exactly what the unit is intended to do and that this protects my sensitive electronic components from low voltage damage. As for voltage spikes, I couldn't say since I haven't had any that I know of. I am real impressed with the unit and it is well worth the money. A professional unit that can handle 2 desk top computers and all the add ons you can think of. Five stars from me...

Customer Review: Excellent UPS
Summary: 5 Stars

I needed a new UPS for my computer because my old CyberPower finally quit working. It was just old! I considered other brands but decided to go back to CyberPower because the old one had worked very well for me for over 5 years. I wanted a little more power this time and a few more options. I researched the price and Amazon had the best price going for this model of the CyberPower. The item came pretty quick in the mail, and I was back in business! So far, I like this model of the CyberPower because its powerful and compact. It's not too bluky and I like the fact it stands upright. I have a 26" monitor and DELL Demension computer, to include the speakers plugged into the UPS. I've been told to keep the printer separately plugged from the UPS by my Systems person, so I'm not going to take any chances. Where I live we have quite a few storms (Louisiana) and have power fluxs from time to time. So far so good! For me this UPS offers a good source of power for the price.

Customer Review: Good VA rating for quad processor power spikes
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a 400 VA HP UPS and I was getting alarms all the time. Checked it out in the software and the computer was pull to much power during heavy processing. I have a new quad processor and the max VA draw can be hit and it made the alarm go off. I bought this one to replace the HP UPS. No alarms triggered for heavy processing. I have had several power blimps and the UPS protects me from any accidental power loss. I leave this on all the time, so I am glad to have the protection with the software shutdown feature when I am not home.

I had a bit of a problem with the software at first. It was not recognizing the UPS attached. I changed cables and ports on the computer, nothing. Did some searches and found the version of the software was not right for Windows 7. CD in box was no good for me, I had to download it from the internet site. All better. That was around Christmas 2009, so Hopefully the CD in the box has been updated to include Windows 7.

Customer Review: Excellent Function and good price.
Summary: 5 Stars

I did a fair amount of research and found the CyberPower Products to be top notch for the money. My price was $108 -free shipping. I received the UPS in 2 days. Setup was very easy, the software easy to use and install and useful. I played around wit...h it by plugging different loading and pulling the plug, using many of the configuration features and it all worked very well. No problems. I wanted it mainly to ensure my modem for internet and phone would be maintained if power lost. Worked like a champ. My main work PC is a laptop so it has battery backup. My home PC I just want to power down gracefully. With the Desktop, modem, router and phone powered I use about 90W and it says I should have 46 Minutes of run time with battery. I set it up so the PC will shut down in 2 minutes and then I will have 90-100 minutes keep internet access and phone. Nice control to get things the way I needed. Does everything I want. 3 yr warranty. Very Happy. Read more Less

Customer Review: Works well, looks good, solved my problem
Summary: 5 Stars

We have two computers that we play on nearly every day. Living in a rual area where the power goes on and off for no reason, I was concerned about all the electronics that was getting abused. I have power surge protectors on everything, but having the power go of in the middile off an old photo edit is a real problem--not to mention the stress on the electronics. This unit is large enough to carry the load of two desktops, two printers, a scanner, a modem, and a router for nearly 10 min. I just plugged my two surge protectors into the power supply and everything is great. I don't use the automatic shut down feature as that was not the problem I needed to solve. I think, after reading the manual, if you want to use the automatic shut down software, you would be limited to one computer and perfierals per UPS. The front display gives all the information needed to manage the equipment load. Buy it, you will like it.
