Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cyber AcousticsStereo Headset/Microphone, Ambidextrous design AC-201Customer Review: great headset for great price Summary: 4 Stars
I play online games, on ps3, 360, and pc. i have headsets for the latters, but didn't have one for my pc. i had purchased headsets in the past, but nobody could hear me because i guess the mic didn't quite reach my mouth. finally, distraught, i tried ONE more time and bought this one. not only can people hear me perfectly, it has two earphones, where the others only had one, and it fits snugly over my ears. easy to plug in, great sounding, and easy for people to hear me. i would reccomend this to anyone who plays online games for pc.(ps if you have steam i'm wyldeshredder666 maybe i'll see you the servers)
Customer Review: Very good for the money Summary: 5 Stars
I use it for Skype. It sounds clear. People tell me the mic sounds good. It does exactly what you would expect it to do.
Drawbacks? Well, it's a $14 headset, so it's not built like a tank or anything. The earpieces are a tad small, but I've used it for as much as 3 hours straight with no comfort problems.
If you're looking for a cheap, no frills headset, I doubt you could find a better one in this price range.
It's not a 5 star headset based on quality and features. However, I decided to give it 5 stars rather than 4 because of the value that it provides.
Customer Review: Not USB Summary: 4 Stars
I just opened this product and found out it wasn't USB. This was a disappointment because my computer is on the floor and I wanted to use the unit at home and work. So, plugging and unplugging will be a chore. I'm sure it will function fine, but what a disappointment.
When I typed in "Headset USB" in the Amazon search feature this product came up. Also, Amazon has started to add items to my shopping cart; I had to delete them. I also noticed that this unit from a seller that I put on a shopping list went up in price by about $3.00 overnight. Something is starting to smell...
Customer Review: Solid performance and hard wearing Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased 35 of these for a college campus computer lab 3 years ago and have only had one set fail in that time. We use them with Apple iMacs (first Pixar lamps, now on Intel 17") with Griffin iMic USB interfaces.
The sound is great, none have failed due to abuse. A few of the foam windscreens have fallen off and were victim to the vacuum cleaners, however. I secure them by running a loop of cable through a small washer and then the computer security cable runs through the loop. Great buy unless you want a USB headset. That will be my next purchase if these ever fail!
Customer Review: Your mileage may vary - ours sure has Summary: 3 Stars
My fiancee and I have each had one of these since August 2010, and they work nicely, sound is very clear over Skype. Just plug it in and it works.
Her unit, though, has developed a nasty connection problem, related to the cord. Now it will randomly pop and crackle and her mic will cut out altogether until she jiggles the cord again. The problem is getting rapidly worse and we're going to have to replace the headset. Mine seems to be working fine. Neither of us is particularly rough on our stuff, so I'm thinking it's a manufacturing defect or something like that.
