Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cyber AcousticsStereo Headset/Microphone, Ambidextrous design AC-201

Customer Review: Good, Comfortable
Summary: 4 Stars

I must say, these pair of headphone are extremely comfortable, excellent sound quality and the microphone also has good sound quality.

The foam like padding on these headphones make it very comfortable. It fits nicely on my head, it doesn't cling to my hair and it is a perfect size for anyone.

The sound quality is very good. It sounds good for just about anything, gaming, Skype, music or just watching YouTube videos. It sounds just as good as any other fancy pair of 200$ headphones.

The microphone has very good sound quality, nothing special, just a simple microphone on the side.

The only complaint I have, is that there is not any indications telling you weather it is the left or right side of the speakers.

Overall, these are a good pair of headphones and are worth it

8/10

Customer Review: Functional but fragile
Summary: 3 Stars

I have now been using it for about a month with Skype. I was disappointed when I looked at it first time after opening the package. The picture looks better than the real thing. Looks like cheap plastic and it demands delicate handling. I am not expecting it to last very long as one false move be enough to break it in two. Frankly, the sound and microphone quality is not so bad and my mom hears me much better than before even on a cell phone continents away. The "on the ear" design is not the most comfortable, my earlier headset with over the ear design was much more comfortable. I am wondering why the manufacturer has chosen to package reasonable functionality into a poor exterior. I would have rated it much higher for the same functionality had it been somewhat sturdier and slighlty more comfortable. It won't be a bad deal if it lasts long enough.

Customer Review: For its price, it's "a little wonder!"
Summary: 4 Stars

I have had this headset a couple of months now and have been using it on a regular basis to talk over Skype! This is a wonderful little headset, reasonably comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, the ear covers / head phones / muffs part of the headset is comfortable, and adjusts a little to accommodate contours of the ears. The mic is quite responsive, although if you remove the foam covering from the mic, it happens to be only two holes for the sound to reach the recorder, but it works just fine. The only complaint a person can have is that the sound quality is a little dull (even at full volume it seems like 1/3 of the volume of my Razor Moray's or another equivalent headset) and it feels a bit cheap but by no means flimsy, however, keeping in mind that these are hardly 10 bucks, its hard to complain.
Definitely Recommend buying!

Customer Review: For use as a phone headset, this is the way to go
Summary: 5 Stars

I have tried all the so called phone headsets available out there and have been disappointed by all of them. Their sound quality is never up to par and I usually have trouble having the other person on the line hear me due to the microphone being way up by my ear. Cyber-Acoustics has none of these problems, the sound quality thanks to dual ear phones which are very well padded, I get not only great sound, but the padding helps muffle out and background noises. As far as the mic, it is a boom mic so it is right there by your mouth and I find I am no longer having to raise my voice or have the volume of my phone set all the way up. Before you buy a regular phone headset, take the time to buy the adapter required to change this to a 2.5mm jack and try this gaming headset. You will never go back to a regular one again.

Customer Review: Pretty bad
Summary: 2 Stars

I actually bought this headset several years ago from a popular department store. Within a couple of months, the earpads had come off of the headset. They are held on by a thin fabric, and that fabric tore from the headset being taken off and put back onto my head. I still have them now because I use them mainly for the microphone -- the pads are duct taped back onto the main unit.

The pads on these will fail quickly within normal use, and the headphones are uncomfortable to the point of uselessness without the pads.

The product does have decent sound, thanks to the pads creating a more enclosed listening environment. They are a bit too heavy on the bass for my tastes. The microphone is mediocre; it sounds bad to me but none of my associates on Skype or through Ventrillo have complained.
