Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Crosley Kettle Classic Desk Phone CR62-BlackCustomer Review: A practical conversation piece Summary: 4 Stars
It's getting harder and harder to find phones that simply plug into a phone jack and work. I consider having one such phone in my home essential for use when there's a power outage.
So I was pleased to find this at Target (who have since discontinued selling them.) It's a nice looking retro piece that can garner comments from people who visit...especially if it happens to ring while they're there. This phone has a genuine bell ringer. No electronic sound effects. The dial is a touch keypad in the shape of a rotary dial, so it's functional for calls to menu systems where you need to push numbers to get through.
It's a solid quality product that does everything it's supposed to do well.
Customer Review: Cute phone Summary: 4 Stars
I've only had this phone for a short while and it works just fine. The ringer isn't too loud or soft. It's just right. The buttons push easily
and they don't stick. The phone is lightweight and has a nice black matte
finish that hardly shows fingerprints. However, it does show dust. The
telephone reception is good. You can change from tone dialing to pulse
dialing with the flick of a switch located underneath the phone. You can change the volume or turn off the ringer too. If you are looking for a reliable, retro phone this is a good value.
Customer Review: Sell phone :) Summary: 4 Stars
It's about half the price as Pottery Barn's similar Euro model, works completely as expected, and adds what's sort of a novelty to the living room or den. This land line, corded Crosley telephone is build solidly, just like other Crosley products I own. It has an actual bell so you can tell your mobile phone isn't ringing, push buttons that look like the traditional rotary dial, coily cord connection to the base, accepts call waiting and the volume is good.
It's just a pleasant change and an artistic throwback.
Customer Review: Solid and Classic Summary: 5 Stars
The handset is solid and heavy, and unlike the phone in the image provided, the connection between handset and phone is one of those curly cables. It's a long enough cable to be comfortable. This phone is from an era when people talked on the phone and not much else simultaneously (besides taking notes, perhaps). Both hands won't be free, and there's no speaker. It seems to be one of the only classic old-fashioned desk phones on the market- I searched quite a while. You will feel quite stylish talking on this phone.
Customer Review: pretty, and that's it Summary: 2 Stars
I received this the beginning of May. I love the look of these phones, but it ends there. Two months after I received it, callers would here static and crackling when speaking with me. The handset is awkward to use (this is not my first time having a phone like this). Four months after receiving this, the phone died altogether. After reading other reviews, I gave up and cut my losses. I replaced it with an ugly phone from Rite-Aid for ten bucks and have had no problems. Too bad, it was pretty though.
