The Creative Labs Vado video camcorder is an absolute gem. Clear, sharp picture, (640x480!!!) easy controls that even my youngest kids took right to, but rugged enough that I carry it around in my pants pocket on the beach and don't worry about it - and I am hard on my gear but the Vado is holding up beautifully. As with all these point-n-shoot pocket recorders it does NOT have great sound, but the picture quality and total ease of use more than compensates. Well worth the price, in fact my wife made the comment during our last outing "that's so cool, we should all have one!" so I bought her one. In Pink!Customer Review: Simple and Cost Effective .. I purchased the Vado normal resolution to use for making video under circumstances that I would not want to put my expensive video camera through. The Vado is tough and does a great job for a little money. Like all cameras it needs light to make good images and it does well indoors under daylight (6500K) fluorescent lights. Nice wide angle lens for close up shooting. I put my Vados in harms way and they keep on ticking. Great for children I suspect but no experience there. The Vado is the point and shoot of video cameras but sometimes that is all you need.Customer Review: Perfect for all my needs.

I needed a little video camera for grad school, but I wanted one I didn't have to convert the files of and wasn't going to empty me of my funds. After much debilitation, I decided on this camera and so far, so good. It's just as small as I want and I got a little tripod for it and everything. Ta-da! Nice camera I can use leisurely or for classes.
I would recommend this camera to anyone that isn't interesting in creating lots of movies but wants something in case something comes up where one would either like a camera or need one.

My family LOVES the Vado! We have taken so many fun videos with it, videos that we would have never captured if we had to rely on our big bulky digital recorder. The Vado truly helps you capture special moments in time instantly.
The Vado is so simple to use and easy to set up. I am "technologically challenged" and I was able to use the Vado with no problems at all.
We love it so much we are buying THREE MORE! One for each member of our familiy.
The Vado is hands down one of the BEST products we own.

I have two kids and we're on the go a lot. I rarely pull out my clunky camcorder because it is just a pain to lug around. But if we're doing something special and I want to capture it this is the ticket! It is lightweight, EASY to use and has the charger/USB plug on the device so there's no hunting for the cord or finding somewhere to plug it in. If you're a parent and want to capture life's moments this is the perfect little device. It may not have the quality of a higher priced more complex device but this works very well for us!
