I just bought this sound card at Bestbuy to replace my Realtek HD onboard audio that was having problems. Playing BF2 with EAX sounds amazing, vibrant sound and amazing clarity. I was going to buy a Soundblaster X-Fi, but why pay $122 when you can get amazing sound for only $22! Overall no problems, except the volume is drastically louder than my last sound card (have to turn the volume down to 1/8 what it used to be). Your music, video, and games will sound great with this budget sound card!Customer Review: Perfect for my somewhat focused needs

I bought this for music & movies, that's it, so for my needs this one works perfectly. I'm not a gamer, so can't speak for its use there. But the way I always test this stuff is to put on some of my favorite jazz albums and hear how clearly all the subtle notes are picked up - and I was actually a bit surprised how good it was, considering the money I paid. And now I'm happy I didn't spend much more, because I doubt I would be able to tell the difference. So yeah...good stuff.Customer Review: Does it's job

I was running Windows XP with an old soundblaster card and upgraded to Vista and couldn't use the old sound card anymore, so I purchases this one. It works good. I like the surround sound feature. Music sounds really good. One flaw, which is due to this card on Vista or vice versa, is that it doesn't work with Audacity. Before in Audacity, I had multiple channels to record from, now I don't have any. Other than that it does the job. This card replaces built in motherboard sound that lost the left channel. The computer only uses simple twin stereo speakers, not a surround setup
Pros: Easy install in PCI slot, software install was OK, sound is very good, decent price, delivery fast
Cons: Too many selections in the software for choices. Just install drivers
Works fine with my pair of speakers, has software options for surround sound if you need it

I wasn't looking for anything special in a sound card. I just needed something to solve the sound problems I was getting in many games. I found out that it can be caused by using the motherboard's on-board audio. So I replaced it with this and it solved the problem.
The audio isn't nearly as good though, and I just wanted a quick fix. I recommend saving up your money to buy an Omega Striker or Auzentech Prelude sound card instead.
