Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Creative Inspire T3030 2.1 Speaker System ( 51MF0315AA002 )Customer Review: They're just great Summary: 4 Stars
I read a lot of reviews on a lot of 2.1, 3.1 and 4.1 systems before going with this T3030 for many reasons, but one being extremely important: I live in Caracas, Venezuela. So there's no turning back, no warranty. I bought these on Dec-13 and got them today (Jan-24) so you get the picture. I'm extremely happy (as a pig in s#1t) with this set of speakers. The sound is just awesome for such a cheap system. I listen to almost everything from brutal death metal to jazz and prog rock, and they haven't let me down yet. I even played a little with my media player's equalizer and tested the system response to each one of the 10 EQ bands I could tweak. I have to say what Travolta said when opening "The Briefcase" in Pulp Fiction: "We happy".
I took a star off because I'm incredibly lazy and the remote could be wireless ... Volume control right on my bed, YEAH! ... Maybe I'll give that star back someday.
I'll be writing again in a month or so to report how the T3030 are behaving.
Customer Review: Exceeded my expectations as an excellent value! Summary: 4 Stars
My Mac Mini has a mono built-in speaker, which left me in need of a stereo set of speakers. After weighing my options and reading a few reviews, I knew I didn't want to spend a lot of money for casual background music while working on the computer (I have a dedicated home stereo system and when I want to do my critical listening that is where I go). If you are looking for a 2.1 package to be used for casual background music while working on your computer, I must say, these speakers are a far cry from being disappointing! They turned out to be much better value than I expected for the $29 plus tax I paid for them. Keep your eyes open for mail-in rebates. Honestly, after listening at length, if I had paid full price I would still be happy! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! I may buy a second set as an add on for the bedroom television.
Customer Review: Great value, but not perfect Summary: 4 Stars
This is probably one of the cheapest speaker set you can get that uses standard components all over: the line-in is a mini-stereo, the left and right speakers also use standard connectors (cheaper Creative and Altec Lansing solutions have the right speaker doubling up as the controller, with the line-in cable hard-wired into it).
With this system, if any component were to fail you can just replace it (or if you happen to have a better pair of speakers elsewhere). That's also it's saving grace, because on mine at least, the provided line-in cable is rather mediocre -- at some rotation angle it would not produce any sound from the right speaker.
All in all, still a very decent piece of audio equipment, and one with room for upgrades.
Customer Review: Excellent Speakers Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these speakers so I could listen to my mp3 player in my room and I am very happy that I did. They are fantastic, they sound great with every kind of music and I even used them to plug into my DVD player to watch a movie and the sound was superb. The speakers are also quite aesthetically pleasing on the stands or hanging on a wall. I haven't tried them on my computer but I am sure they are better than my harman/kardon HK395 speakers [...]
The only thing I'd change is either switch from the wired remote to a cordless remote or not have one at all; the cable always gets in my way and it does not provide me with much convenience if any at all. You can just tie up the cord and stow it on top of the sub though.
Customer Review: Pleased with Speakers Summary: 5 Stars
I read the other reviews and maybe I'm not as picky as some of them. I thought these were great for what I needed. The volume and bass controls have a wide range. I hooked these up to my television, because it had developed some rattles and problems with at least one speaker, but everything else was still great and it was stereo capable. I don't like the bass turned way up (on any system), but have not noticed any problems at all. If I turn off my television volume completely, I've never had better sound for veiwing. I can also use television sound and the speakers to give a fuller sound. Since the speakers are connected they cannot be spread around the room, but they do have enough length to spread reasonably wide.
