I love this case, it's given me great protection for the player and saved it from getting trashed.
The clip that comes with it needs some work though, the round shape makes it hard to clip on to anything, and when it's not clipped on to anything, the rivets on the clip can scratch the case.
Other than that it's a great option for anyone who's hard on their player, I don't feel bad about tossing the player into my backpack and messing up the screen.

This was purchased for a 15 year old. Most importantly he liked the form, fit, and feel something not easily done when buy for a kid. After seeing my cell phone screen break after not much pressure in my pocket this case should protect against the twisting and pressure put on such devices while being transported in pressing places. The player just sits in the case, but it is a perfect fit. I doesn't rattle or shift around inside.Customer Review: Great case so far....

Simple easy case to operate. I don't mind the carabiner ring. It does seem to be a little less intuitive than a traditionally shaped on might be, but I am more worried about the longevity of the fabric loop that the carabiner hooks through. This seems flimsy to me and likely will not last. Otherwise, just great. Button access is good (not great) but you do need to get used to the new feel that the case gives the player...Customer Review: Piece o' junk

The case is too tight and puts pressure on the electronics inside, causing them to malfunction.
I had trouble with the Zen freezing and having to be reset via a paper clip or push pin. At first I thought it was the player and I was bummed about maybe having to send it back.
My dad then suggested taking the case off and seeing what happened. I did so and it has not frozen up since.

Good overall product. I mainly got it for protection, and it does that well. The opening cover was a little hard to figure out since there were no instuctions, but I finally was able to push it to open the back. The idea of the "O" ring is a good idea, and can be taken off if not needed.
The plastic is thick enough to protect the screen well, and the function keys are still accessible.
