It is a sturdy case. It does not lock in very effectively though. I'm afraid to use it in an actual sport setting. The back of the case slides in and is mostly held in place by gravity.
If the back does fall off though, the player stays in the case fairly well.
Great case if you just put it in your pocket or if you want some protection from scratches, etc.
Bad case if you are an athletic sort who was planning on using this while backpacking, jogging, biking... At least for me, I spend too much free thought on wondering if the case will fall apart on me and not enough free time enjoying the activity.

I have had this case for about 6 months. Yes, the front of the case is unbelievably scratched up,which proves to me that it is protecting my Zen. I have this case attached to my belt loop for hours a day and it is still going strong. Although the case is very scratched, I can still watch a movie easily. The only minor thing I would change would be the location of the ring, I know it only makes sense because the opening on the other side allows the on-off button to be exposed, but I am always catching my earbud cord on knobs and handles since it comes out the bottom. I am very hard on small electronics. You should see the cell phones I have destroyed. This hard plastic case has saved my Zen player many times. I like the beaner type ring for conveniently attaching my player to a belt loop. The only real problem is the small piece of cloth attaching the ring to the case. It is already showing wear and I don't think it will last long. I see duct tape in the future. A little pricey but cheaper than replacing a player. This doesn't really apply to this particular product but remember there is no technical support for Creative players and other Creative products.Customer Review: excellent protection... but still lacking

This case is virtually indestructible. I've sat on it, stepped on it and dropped it, and all it has to show for it is a few scratches.
There's just one thing though - this case turns a sexy player into something for more reminiscent of the old chunky Creative bricks. It's just thick enough to make the Zen feel heavy and clunky in your pocket, which is a shame because by itself the Zen is so nice and thin. So if you need the protection, then definitely go for the case, but if you're someone who's going to just use it on the subway and are pretty careful, go without.

This is the best manufacturer case for the Zen MP3 Player. The case is tough, and prevents your MP3 Player from scratching. It also has a nice belt loop clip. Everything is easy to access, including the headphone jack and the buttons.
The plastic case also has a nice stand, so you can lean your player up.
This is perhaps the better quality protection for this player. The leather one is nice, but if you want to be able to show off your player easily this is the case to get.
