This case provides excellent protection for the Zen's screen and is not easily scratched itself. All the controls, headphone jack and USB port are left exposed and fully usable (unless your headphones/speakers have a ridiculously thick plug - in which case, I'd recommend picking up the Scoche 3.5mm Portable Audio Adapter Kit).
The only reason this doesn't get five stars is because the kickstand doesn't lock in place when open. The weight of the device is usually enough to keep it from collapsing, but I would have preferred a more sturdy mechanism. That being said, it does work well enough in most situations.
I haven't tried any other cases for the Zen, but I'm so happy with this one I probably never will.

I have this case for the new 32 mb Zen. Thank goodness, because without the clear, hard case, this player (due to the high gloss body) is extremely easy to smudge!
Yes, it adds a bit to the overall thickness to the player, but its really not that bad.
I do not have the contact point like others have mentioned, nor do I have any trouble using any of the controls due to the design. Maybe these flaws were batch-specific, I do not know.
The one small gripe I have is the cheap imitation leather that connects the keyring to the acrylic is so thin, that I'm afraid eventually it will just tear. Other than that, my review would be 5 starts...an awesome case for an awesome player!!

I read a lot of the reviews before I purchased this case and was worried about what would arrive. When it got here, I loved it. It seems to fit perfectly and I have none of the issues that others were complaining about. The buttons are still accessible, the only thing that isn't is the memory card, which is kind of a hassle, but I can deal with. The ring around the top is perfect, although I have the same complaint that someone else did about it being a little difficult to use for a clip. I still use it anyway. The only thing that could have made this case any more perfect would have been some way to store your earbuds, but I can't complain. This review may be a little premature as I have owned this case for less than an hour.However,two flaws struck me right away.The slot in the case over the power switch is very narrow.Unless you have small fingers or longish nails you will struggle with the switch.The case seems very sturdy.I know this because the unit hit the floor hard when the ring broke apart after putting it on my belt loop and walking across my kitchen after about 30 Seconds!There was so much slop in the joint that it popped out sideways and dislodged the spring.I would say the ring was junk to begin with.I'll find another ring and give it a chance,but there has to be a better case out there.Customer Review: A little disappointed

I am not that impressed. Sure it protects your screen which is great but the screen for the cover gets scratched easily. I got it so that I could keep it in my pocket and every time I took it out of my jeans pocket it scratched the cover. Also the headphone jack is right next to the opening for those jacks. I have a headphone cable that won't fit in because the opening to the plastic cover is to small. Most normal headphone jacks work fine though. The stand is a nice feature. The clip idea is good and the unit itself has a nice snug fit. I think in the end though that I will return it for a leather case and screen protectors because of the scratches.
