Had to get a pair to replace the crappy Apple ones that come default with the shuffle. I use these to work out and needed a pair that didn't fall out constantly. Since the Apple earphones didn't have any bass and barely if any mids, I wanted to make sure this new set did a better job in that regard.
I was pleased to hear the sound quality was pretty good when I first tested them out. Overall the sound is better than what I expected for such a cheap pair of earphones. The highs aren't muffled or tinny, mids are apparent and I can finally hear bass in songs. I'm sure you could find better earphones but you would be paying 3x-5x the price. There is cord noise when or if you bump the cord, but I only noticed this when I had the music paused and it wasn't very loud or anything to be concerned about.
As with any in-ear style earphone, you must make sure that it seals inside your ear canal otherwise the sound will not be as good. These also do a good job at blocking noise, I can't hear anyone when I have music playing (even at low levels) which makes people think I'm ignoring them but if I turn off the music I can still hold a conversation (so long as they aren't a light talker).
Just fyi, when I ordered these I was expecting a white pair seeing that the image is actually white but I received a black pair instead (same model number). Not sure if Amazon just messed up or they have the wrong picture displayed, however I'm glad I got black instead since the white ones get nasty after awhile of use in the gym.

GREAT set of headphones, soo much better then the apple ones, the apple ones hurt after a while, these are in ear so its great.
I suggest not letting anyone else use these
these aren't the type to share, it gets quite disgusting if you don't clean your ears as often as u should.
I am a sound person, and the sound isn't as good as a digital connection, like usb but its for like portable audio equipment soo these are probably some of the best.
i bought 2 sets, just in case.
ABOUT LAPTOPS AND HEADPHONES
Ive tested out these headphones on a
vostro 1500
and levovo sl400
they both give off the static
as well as the apple ones, and jvc ones, they all get static,
its probably part of the sound card that causes the problem.
Digital usb headphones on the other hand don't get any static,
if you are goign to use headphones/headsets on a laptop,
i suggest a usb connection
i have a microsoft lx 3000- and i havent noticed any static, and music sounds decent. microphone is great for gamming, been using it and not one complaint about feed back, static, or not loud enough.

I am not an audiophile, I just know that I like music and I like to listen to music. All kinds of music. I have a Creative Zen and the stock earbuds that came with it were horrible. They were very large and hurt my ears. I bought a pair of Phillips earbuds which had one of those cables that was shorter for one ear. (I think it's called a "J" cable?) Annoying. So, I gave those to my husband and bought skullcandy smokin' buds, which sounded...ok...but the dang things wouldn't stay in my ears. They kept falling out. They also had a volume control on the wire which I didn't like. I finally replaced them with the Creative EP-640's. I was looking for the EP-630's, but the store didn't have any, so I figured 630, 640, how different could they be, right? Well, I love these. I don't know how different they sound from 630's, but these stay in my ears and do not fall out. They sound really good too. Could have gone with a slightly longer wire though. Overall, a great replacement for all the others I had. Of course, everyone hears music differently and you might not like them. These are perfect for me.Customer Review: Great for small ears ...

My original iPod earbuds were killing my ears because they were just way too big. I was looking for a set that was small enough for me to wear comfortably and these fit the bill perfectly. They came with 3 different sizes of soft rubber ear fittings (not sure what they're really called) which was great. As for the sound ... I'm not blown away by it. Even after going through the EQ on the iPod I never got them to sound as good as the Apple ones. I'm satisfied though, because they really do fit well and they really do block out most of the ambient sound. I WAS blown away that I received these in the mail the day after I ordered them.Customer Review: Best choice if you like bass

I bought this at circuit city for 54.36 which is not bad for what I was looking for. Bass & Treble good with good Voice. I bought the Bose earphones and the sound was good when I changed the earbuds from my old sony earphones. They also felt really heavy on my ears so I decided to exchange them for the Shure brand. They were TERRIBLE so I got my money back from Best Buy and bought the Creative EP-640 Earphones SUPER BASS RESPONSE earphones at circuit city. I think they are best for people that like to hear the bass on their music.
If you like some bass, then I recommend the Sony earphones. They have great sound too.
