With no mode settings(repeat, shuffle, etc) or shock protection, this cd player is pretty undesirable, but if you're just looking for something to hold you over then this'll do. It has all the basic features of a cd player of course and it works alright. It could be with just mine, but every pair of headphones, new and old, that I use with it, the left begins to malfunction although when using those same headphones in another cd player or speakers, they work fine. Like I said, if you just want a temporary thing then I guess this is good for you.Customer Review: Nice device for the price

This has excellent digital sound for the price. I was surprised at how much better it made my CD's sound compared to my other player that had cost $30. It isn't as sensitive to motion as I thought it would be on mass transit and rarely skips. I wish I could have been given the option to choose a color - I was sent the silver one. It seems to have a smaller headset connection so my older headset doesn't work in it, but I don't mind the headset that comes with it. It skips at every little movement, but that is expected with a cheap player like this.
However, even sitting on a table (no bumps to cause skipping) it would freeze after two to three minutes of usage, and I would have to pop it open, close it and then try to get back to the spot I left off. Two minutes of listening later, same problem would happen again. I gave it the benefit of a doubt and tried a few different clean CDs, same problem. Hopefully someone at salvation army won't mind.

IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT FOR $7.50
It is light, easy to operate but very delicate. Slight pressure on the top lid will disturb the rotating disk. Be very careful with it while playing. It runs on battery only, there is no input for a mainline transformer. But what would you expect in the price range.
Overall, a good product.

I like the uncomplicated control and the light weight. It is exactly what I was looking for: to lie in bed and listen to relaxing CDs. For $13.95 (and I got free shipping) I couldn't beat it (silver color). The headphones feel good. They don't have much bass. The player does not have any adjustments beyond the volume control. Requires two AAs.
