I really like this boom box. It didn't cost alot and it does everything I like to do when I record with an external microphone. Not to many boomboxes have that feature. My first boom box did but it bit the dust.
I was very happy when I found it on Amazon .com.

The AM-FM receiver in this unit is the worst i've ever used, the tuner itself is totally useless except for the closest and strongest stations, even they are hard to tune in. I would rate the tuner at one-fourth of a star just because it can make Review: It's very large. . .Summary: 3 Stars But it works pretty good. You do have to put in the 10 D batteries even though it's plugged into an outlet to get the best sound. I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you had the resources to get something better. I didn't, but for what it cost, I'm not unhappy.

For $50 the Coby CX-CD282 Portable CD/Radio/Cassette Player is a good toy. It plays the CDs and cassettes as well as any other higher priced units. I plan to use this in my car with a DC to AC inverter rather than pay $350 to replace my car radio.Customer Review: Way too big and heavy

For what I needed, too large. Unfortunately, size was not in discription. They offered a return for credit on another item, however, I paid 13.75 shipping, will pay that much back & new shipping is 9.75. Plus the smaller unit is 10.00 more.
