Customer Review: Excellent radio for the money!! Can't beat it with a stick.

This is an excellent radio and is only sold thru Wal-Mart and Radio Shack's website and ship to the store if you want to buy one over the counter. The Amazon price was $44 and free shipping comnpared to $60+. I have a large collection of old cassettes that exceed 20 yrs. Most are high quality CR02 and Metal and in good shape. This radio sounds excellent with them since they were quality recordings even without the use of a built in EQ. The vendor is an electronics chain out of TN and it still went out on Monday after the state had major flooding including the Nashville area where the Radio was shipped from. I will rate the vendor and the radio at 5 Stars. Amazon keep up the good work with good products, competitive pricing and quality vendors such as this one!!! I was excited when this beautiful piece of equipment arrived...meticulously packed and delivered in record time! My excitement diminished however when I first listened to its output. Compared to my old boombox with the sticky cd drawers the sound was shallow and kind of annoying, both for music and speaking voices. I'm not sure what the bass booster is all about - I didn't hear much bass. In the end I used my old unreliable player with the better sound. Now...of course I'm being very picky. I'm a musician and now realize that if I had wanted really good sound quality I should have purchased a look-alike model for $250. For its $50 pricetag this is probably still quite a nice package.Customer Review: Not what is promised

After buying this product for myself, I was immediatly dissappointed. The sound quality was mediocre at best. But the biggest dissappointment was in trying to deal with the company to return it. They agreed to the return, but proceeded to put up all sorts of road blocks to accomplish this. I have never in all my years in dealing with Amazon and it's Marketplace companies had such a poor experience as with this BBSpace. As yet, I still have not got the info needed to return the radio and this is over a month later. Take my advice and stay away from them.Customer Review: Great radio.

I have been using this radio and CD feature and love the big sound and clear sound it gives.
I mostly plug it in, but if you use the batteries, be ready to lug around a big heavy weight.
The cassette feature is OK, but could be better. The radio works well, but it's hard to tell where the stations are. I had to mark them with masking tape to find them. But I go for the quality of the sound and this one is top notch. The buttons for the CD could be a little clearer to read. Most of the time I have to feel my way around to operate them.

I bought this and thought it would work on it's own. When i played a cd the subwoofers didn't even. When i read the manual i was i needed a 15v dc adapter which i cannot find ANYWHERE! So if you get this be prepared to go on a wild goose chase for a 15v adapter. Or else stock up on batteries cause it uses TEN! damn who ever heard of a woofer being plugged in by itself. If i have nay luck with stereo I'll write another review until then i am frustrated with this company.
