Customer Review: Great Value, Simple to Use, Nice Sound

For the price I paid at Amazon, $19.99, this unit would be very hard to beat. Purchased for an elderly relative who needed something simple to operate, with an easy to read (about one inch tall) digital display. The size is small and lightweight enough to move it easily (it can fit into very small spaces), but it has a surprisingly BIG sound. The size is only about 8 inches square. This unit actually had better low frequency reproduction than some bigger boomboxes I've owned. It has familiar-looking, easy to use 'dial' type volume and tuning knobs (not digital), and the simplest of switches and buttons to operate the cd player and am/fm stereo radio. Can run on batteries or the included cord. I've had NO PROBLEMS with it and it sounds great. It was a great value at this price, and it sounds like it cost much more.Customer Review: Wasted Money

I bought this for my 6 year old son for Christmas last year. I didn't want to spend too much since he is so young. Holy guacamole...what a waste of money. For $10 more I could have gotten something that worked. The radio capabilities are abysmal. Not one radio station comes in clearly. I have no idea why this is as we live in the city and our signals are strong. The sound quality for the cd player is poor, but at least it doesn't sound like the speakers are blown. The antenna broke off within the first 2 months. Partly because we couldn't get any reception so the antenna was moved frequently. I do like the shuffle, repeat. All in all you'd be better off spending a few more dollars. We're tossing this and getting him a new one for Christmas.Customer Review: 5 stars for the price

I bought this CD player for use in a small room (my nursery) to quietly play classical CDs for the babies. It is absolutely perfect for this use. The sound quality is great! I do notice that the sound quality is much better when placed on top of a tall dresser as opposed to a lower object such as an end table - not sure why, but it makes a big difference.
The sound quality is better than my $500 Bose clock radio, but not as good as my $1500 surround system. It is nearly comparable to my car stereo, which is a stock system for an 07 Toyota.
Hopefully these comparisons give you some sort of idea of the sound quality you get for $20. Good luck finding something better for even triple that price!

I bought this for my [...]. The price was right and she needed a cd player so she can jam out in her room whenever she wanted to. She loves the fact that she has her "own" cd player. The sound is great and can be turned up very loud. There are too many flashy features which makes it easy to use and I wouldn't expect there to be too many considering I got it for under [...]. I like that it has the option for batteries to take on the go with you or you can plug it in as well. If you are looking for an inexpensive cd player that can be used in the kitchen while you are cooking or in your child's room for their jam session this is the one for you.Customer Review: Just what we needed

It's little, it's portable, and it's cheap...exactly what we needed. No, the sound it not spectacular, but we weren't looking for audiophile quality. My wife wanted a way to take her music with her around the house and even into the backyard, but she didn't want to use an mp3 player with headphones because she may not be able to hear our little daughter. This little player was perfect. It's tiny, lightweight, and round and verges on being cute. And when it's not roaming the house it sits on the bathroom counter and provides shower tunes. And if it dies in a few months, it was cheap enough to replace without much remorse...
