If you have a small car, such as my Mazda, it is easy to install and route to the CB. I have mounted mine on the trunk, and it can be removed if necessary. The magnet is of good strength and works well. It has also taken a few knocks from my oak tree that branches out over my drive way.
So far, I am pleased with its performance.

Although I didn't purchased this antenna from Amazon, I will rate it here; I use it with a Midland 5001z (purchased from Amazon) cb radio and it works great, though I didn't used a SWR meter to calibrate it, I have a good reception, I can hear the truckers from the middle of the city while they were far away on the highway.

Ordered the antenna and was missnig the bottom section of it to screw into the base. I was told I would could get a 20% discount since it's defected, but hows that going to help me if I can't use it. This antenna came packaged in a BIG box which had plenty of packing in it.It was exactly as described. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, because of the weather here in the Northeast. I clearly ordered an HG A1500 Cobra CB Antenna and I received an HG A1000 Cobra CB Antenna. One of the other reviews shows the same thing happened to them. Before you order from Amazon you better check if you can get it at a local store first so you know what you're getting.
